|TRIGGER WARNING!!! Contains fighting, swearing, blood, anxiety, anxiety attack,
This will be set during season 4 before volume 2. Lots of fluff. I attempted to use g/n pronouns, but the nicknames are mostly feminine. 3.5k words. I for sure did not make this after watching s4 v2|

As I sat in the back of Steve's car, I tapped my fingers against my thigh to the beat of the song playing through my headphones. Steve and Robin were talking about what they talk about every morning. Girls. Steve starts by explaining his dreams and his wishes to be with Nancy again while Robin listens, butting in to tell him how Nancy deserved better than him. Then after Steve was done day dreaming, he would start asking Robin questions about Vickie. Robin would stutter and words that would spill out of her mouth, no control in what she says at all.

I never really pitched into their conversations, just listening to my music as Steve drove us to work. I didn't work with them though. Like I would willingly work with those two dumbasses. But I do work in the shop next to them, a music shop. When he finally pulled into a spot and parked, he looked back at me and smiled, asking me the same line every day, "You ready honey?" He smirked at me and winked smugly. I rolled my eyes and replied with a snarky comment, "Never." I reached over and unbuckled my seatbelt and swung open my door. As I unfolded my plaid skirt that had risen up in the car, I grabbed the name tag from my purse and clipped it onto my Mötley Crüe t-shirt that was tucked into my skirt, with my belt keeping the skirt around my waist with chains falling down from it. The name tag had the store logo "Hawkins Music Shop welcomes you..." with Y/n written underneath.

"Have a good day there, kid." Robin had placed her hand on my head and lightly ruffled my hair, not too much as she saw how hard I would slap Steve for ruining my hair. "You both as well." I stated plainly as I split up from them and walking in the opposite direction. As I took the keys from my purse and slid it onto the lock before twisting it and opening the door. As I walked in, I flicked on the lights before setting my stuff on the counter. Walking around I made sure no one had been in here and that nothing was stolen before I started to sweep up. It was 15 minutes before opening so I cleaned up the normally crowded store. Afterwards I grabbed the new vinyl's that we had gotten in from Van Halen and softly opened a few, placing them in the window very carefully with the case next to it with the price tag on it.

I then went back to the counter and had put my stuff away in the back area before I took a deep sigh and flipped the sign to "Open!" Before walking back to the counter and grabbing more vinyl's and putting them away in alphabetical order and by genre. A lot of people judge me for the way I look and the fact I dropped out of high school to work at a music shop. People started to slowly fill up the store, I continued cleaning until I heard the bell at the counter. Placing the vinyls on the counter away from costumers reach before turning to the lady who is buying a Modena vinyl. With a fake smile I checked her out, taking her money and handing back her change. I did this almost all day, going back and forth between checking people out and putting away vinyl's until a little after lunch. Then there were many people in line, many of them holding the new Möntly Crüe vinyl. I looked over at the window to see Eddie Munson walking into the shop. He was a regular here, not only did he buy the most vinyl's but he also bought the sheet music to a lot of the music.

The bell ringing in front of me took me out of my trance and immediately I put on my fake smile yet again. I look at him and am shocked to see Jason there. The most popular jock at school, him and his girlfriend made my life at school a living hell. My fist curling up tightly, I took the vinyl from him and told him the price. "$10.50" I stated plainly. Jason scoffed, "You really expect me to pay almost $11 for this cheap ass thing?!" His voice raising and causing others to stop and watch him. I didn't mind, what Jason didn't know is that this is MY territory. "Either pay for it or get out. Now." I glared at him. He was taken aback by my attitude and got instantly enraged. "It's funny that you dropped out just to dress like a slut and barely make minimum wage." Jason laughed and glared at me. Un-phased I asked, "Are you going to pay or not, Asshole?" Jasons face instantly turnt red and his hand shot out and gripped my wrist roughly. "You will regret that." He spoke, darkness clouding over his eyes.
