-narrator-
"Hey Cas, there is a spill in aisle 4." Charlie says over the counter.
Cas grunts before walking over to the back and grabbing the mop and bucket. He goes over the aisle and sets the mop aside. He takes his phone and headphones out, he opens Spotify and plays a random playlist. When the music starts he shuts his phone off and puts it back in his back, right pocket. He starts mopping the floor tiredly. A couple minutes later he feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns around and takes his headphones off. He sees this godly looking man.
"Hello?" Castiel questions
"Hi" the man looks down quickly before looking up " uh, do you work here?" The man asks
Castiel looks down at his name tag, and then he looks at the mop in his hand. He looks back at the man with a 'are you kidding me?' Face.
"No, of course not" Castiel says sarcastically.
The man instantly regrets his question and looks down.
"Sorry" the man mumbles
"Yeah, whatever. Do you need something?" Castiel questions
"Uh yes, do you have textbooks here? Oh and where are the monster fantasy books?" He replies quickly
Castiel thinks for a second before answering
"Textbooks are in aisle 6 and monster fantasy books are in aisle 2"
"Thank you!" The man blurts out quickly before walking out of that aisle.
Right as the man passes Castiel, Charlie starts running to Cas.
"Wasn't he hot? He looks like your type!" Charlie basically yells as she reaches him
"Shut up, he'll hear you!" Castiel whisper yells
"Fine, Fine. so was he he your type?!"
"Oh my god, yes. Why do you care?" Castiel asked annoyed.
"Because I am your friend, and it is my duty to make you happy with your true one!" Charlie explains proudly while Castiel just rolls his eyes.
"He is Not. The one." Castiel says sternly
"Whatever."
Charlie skips back to the front desk.
~~At front desk~~
Dean walks up to the front desk and puts the big pile of monster lore and textbooks on it.
"Hello, Im Charlie. Is this all for today?" Charlie questions as she looks at the man. 'He seems to be zoned out' she thinks.
*cough* what? Oh uh, yeah- yes. This is all for today!" He Blurts out as he is seemingly brought back to reality.
"Ok, I hope everything was easy to find" she asks while scanning all the books.
"Uh yes, everything was...perfect" Dean basically whispers out.
"Well that will be about $353.50" Charlie explains while looking up
"Oh uh ok" the man opens his wallet and pulls out a credit card.
"Uh, ok mr...Knelson" Charlie swipes the card and hands it back.
"Hey uh, do you know one of your workers? He has uh raven black fluffy hair, wears glasses?" Dean asks as he picks up the books and puts them in a reusable bag.
"Oh! You mean Castiel" she replies, holding back her smirk.
"Yeah I know him, he's a good worker"
"Uh ok, never mind" Dean says quickly before leaving the store.
~~later~~
"Cas! Cas! Cas!" Charlie yells excitedly
"What do you want Charlie?!" Castiel yells back tiredly
"That boy who I talked to you about? You know the one who had beautiful hair and green eyes?!" Charlie questions
"Uh yeah. Why?" Castiel asks while walking out to his car as Charlie follows
"Well, while he was checking out he asked about you!" She explains
"Oh? He did?.."Cas smiles "So uh why does that matter" he asks
"Because he is the true one! Nobody ever notices you Cas, but this guy is your type and asked about you! That never happens!" She replies quickly
"Wow, thanks for the confidence boost" Cas says sarcastically.
"That's not the point and you know it! You just don't want to talk about him!" She announces
"Exactly why we are done talking about him!" Castiel says happily before getting in his car and driving away. Leaving his annoying best friend in a cold breeze of this winter afternoon.
