Dominic put his hand on his mouth and shook his head as he saw the bloody mess of a crime scene. He had seen similar to this but it was more gruesome when it was a young woman.
The girl had fallen off of the top deck rail and landed with her head slammed right on the edge of the pool, not to mention the pool was now tinted a deep red.
"Don't move her yet." Dominic said as one of the examiners reached toward the body. The examiner nodded and moved back.
He needed to fully see the scene.
Dominic closed his eyes and tried to picture the scene.
Emily admired the view from the deck, the ocean was sparkling perfectly. It was sunset, and a great place to spend her evening. She rested her arm on the rail which was holding a virgin Piña Colada, a non alcoholic piña colada, then again she was way too young to drink.
It wasn't long before a something interrupted her. A sharp pain stung right through her right side. Emily almost instantly started coughing up blood. Turning she saw the murderer with a knife that was covered in her blood. While screaming the girl was pushed off of the balcony and landed with her skull getting cracked, killing her instantly. The weapon was probably tossed into the sea. But wouldn't someone see the murder take place? I guess that's why I'm here to figure this out.
"Check her right side, she's been stabbed." Dominic told the examiner.
"Yes indeed... That explains the blood surrounding her as well as how she had enough blood to taint the pool." The examiner replied, his voice dry with no emotion.
Jenson shook his head, "Sir you never fail to amaze me."
"It's just ... instinct." Dominic told Jenson.
"Oh, I was talking to the examiner." Jenson said jokingly.
Dominic ignored his comment and walked across to the other side of the pool, just as he suspected her drink glass had been shattered. Yet no drink was anywhere to be found.
"Examiner did anyone touch the scene right after it happened?"
"No sir, I spoke to the captain as well he said he ordered no one to touch the scene... By the way my name is Kevin Sparks, you don't have to call me examiner." Kevin replied.
"C'mon Jenson lets go speak to the Captain. Oh and... Kevin do you know the Captain's name and phone number?"
"Oh yes sir his name is Alfred McFaire, and I can email you his phone number."
***
Dominic studied his computer screen."Hmm...."
"Is there a problem sir?" Jenson asked in response to Dominic's confused face.
"I'm just a bit confused of why this email was sent to my personal email."
"I doubt it's a big deal lets just go speak to Mr. McFaire."
"Yes... Let's go speak to the Captain of the death boat."
