Sitting in a steaming hot SUV with my loud siblings is not one of my favorite things to do. When we got to the beach I yanked the door open and jumped out onto the black pavement. Once I stood there for a few seconds, the heat scorched my feet. I quickly sprinted over to the water and plunged them in.
My family came up behind me and set down our blanket and then began talking to our other family members that were there. Jessica put her headphones in immediately and began to lay on her beach towel and tan. James, Jack and Ron began to attempt to build a sandcastle. I put on my bathing suit and began to swim.
After I was swimming for awhile, I put my clothes back on, I got out my beach blanket and laid down, soaking up the rays of sun. I blinked and when I looked up to the sky, there was a man leaning over me. He had black hair and tan skin. He was wearing a necklace of coral colored shells. His royal blue t-shirt was dripping with salt water and his jeans were caked with sand. He bent over and whispered to me "the gift of the tide is rare, you will live where you belong."
What is wrong with this guy I wondered. I stood up and looked at his blue eyes. He walked over to the water and dove in leaving bubbles where he had once stood.
Wondering where he was going, I decided to follow him. I walked into the water and dove under the water. Little did I know I wouldn't be coming back any time soon.
