Ch 5|Death

Hey guys! I'm on my 5th part! Okay, so now we are getting to the interesting stuff...kind of. Some secrets may be revealed. I really want to try a latte or Frappuccino at Starbucks. :P That was really random.

Anyways, I might write a new book. I'm not sure. I just feel like it haha. If you have any ideas on new books, I would love to know. Arigatou!

My breath was hot as I breathed on my chin. This-This was too much. First, someone poisons the water, then Katie and Ella disappears. What if something happened to them...I would never forgive myself. That's when I saw them. They were giggling and chatting with each other walking towards us. I growled.

"Where have you been?" I asked. Obviously mad at them. Katie shivered in fear, Ella did the same.

"We were at the park!" Katie and Ella said in unison.

"There is no park!!!" I shouted interrupting Emma and Bella.

They stared at me. I shot a murderous glare at Emma and Bella. They started whistling, what?! Then they zoomed past me and started talking to Emma. I sighed. This was getting out of hand, I needed to find some way to break them apart. Hmm...Thats it! I could get Ella and Arin back together. Yes! That will work and I know just the person to help.

"Bella! Get your butt over here now!" I yelled. She came running towards me, a blast of wind blew me a few feet away.

"Help me," I said.

She nodded excitedly. I started giggling as I stared at Katie and Ella, they are going down. Suddenly, a rumble was heard and the ground cracked and opened. I quickly ran for Emma, Katie, Bella, Arin, and Ella.

"Duck!" I yelled.

I hope they heard me. I scrunched my eyes together holding Emma's and Bella's hands. When the rumbling stopped, I opened my eyes. Katie stood near the crack staring down. I walked towards her and gasped at what I saw. Ella and Arin were falling in the crack. Ella opened her eyes a bit and smiled at us. She said something I couldn't make out and a bright light filled the air. When the light died down, all of our hair was filled with red and blue highlights.

"The rumbling was meant to kill us. Ella and Arin saved us, but in return they....risked their own lives. They died as heroes. I-I..." Katie started crying. I now realized what the highlights meant. After we returned home, Kelsey gave us these upgrades. If any one of us were killed, that person could transfer their powers and a part of their soul into all of us.

They were dead. I smashed my fist on the ground, second time. This happened again. I felt someone touch my shoulder.

"Hey, we have their soul now. We should take care of it," Katie said. Her voice still sounded broken, but she looked better. I took a deep breath and cleared my throat. "We need to get a move on, we will have time to grieve later...Arin and Ella would want us to be happy and smile. So, do that for them," I shouted.

Emma and Bella nodded and we started walking back to town. Everything was in ruins. I was waiting for Arin to say something, but then I realized she was gone and I sighed, it just wasn't the same. We are the 6, not the 4. I sighed again and we walked back into town. Everything, and I mean everything was in ruins. The others didn't seem to care, they kept staring behind us as if Ella and Arin would be there. Just 5 minutes ago Ella and Katie were pissing me off. Just 5 minutes... 

The house where the remaining survivors lived survived the fire that had spread across town. We knocked on their door. Nobody answered. I kicked the door open. The couch was flipped over and half the stairs fell off. Holy...What happened here?

"Maybe they escaped?" Katie said hopefully. "No, they couldn't have, although the furniture is messed up, look, the carpet is perfectly normal, no wrinkles at all. The walls nor stairs are broken. The couch looked as if it was moved, and you can't make a couch move, unless you pushed it." The family living here is very suspicious.
