Not really feeling this one. I tried to make Hana's insults funny. Le fail.

The craziness that was of Outworld didn't phase me. We had to go back and forth between here and there, so if anything bothered me, I'd have to get used to it now. It had been two days since I ran into the cowboy. Defended him and healed his wound. It's just me protecting the people from whatever bullshit Mileena was trying to stir. Nothing personal.

"So, Hana... How was your visit the other day?" Kung Jin asked. "Not bad. I've seen way worse. Syria, for example." I said. "She's got a point. Syria is hell." Jacqui said. "So, back to the mission, where is Kotal Kahn? We have to confirm with him that Li Mei is right." Takeda said. "It's nearly impossible to reach such a high subject without angry guardsmen taking it the wrong way. How do we tell him, then?" Cassie asked.
"You don't." A voice said. This voice was all too familiar.
A man approached us. He wore a brown hat wrapped with bullet shells, padded leather, two gun cases on both sides of his hips, sand grenades on his belt, boots strapped with calf belts, gauntlets made of leather, a poncho around his neck, and black paint around his eyes. This was the man from the other night.
"State your business, including a reason why we shouldn't kill you." He said. I looked him in the eye, but he didn't see me.
He was a kind hearted person the other night. Curious and innocent, allowed me to heal him back to where he started, good and strong. But now he had a cold tone to his voice and his words dropped with a threat. This wasn't the man I met, let alone healed.
I don't know how deep in thought I was, but he started leading us to a public execution exhibit. Someone had stolen from Kotal Kahn and now they faced the death penalty.
Kung Jin looked at the cowboy. "Death? For petty theft?" He asked. "Remember where you are." The man said. Jin started heading to the front, pushing people out of his way. Jin fired an arrow into he guardsman before he could kill the thief. The cowboy raised a pistol as he prepared to fire, but in an act to protect those I considered important to me, I pushed his aim off just as he pulled the trigger, hitting nothing. I pulled his arm back and punched him in the face twice, then tripped him. He got up and aimed a gun at me. I took out my pistol as well. Cassie, Takeda, and Jacqui took on guardsmen. I took on the cowboy.
"I got guns too." I hissed. He chuckled. "Nice guns." He said. "I'll hold 'em to your eye sockets and blow your brains out." I snapped. "It's a shame I have to put you down for that." He said. "Trying to get somewhere too soon?" I asked. "Ten steps above my pay grade is where I wanna be." He said. "On your ass is where you're gonna be." I hissed. He came to me and tried to shoot me, but I knocked his aim, twice, and bashed the butt of my gun into his forehead. He fell back down. I slung my gun back in its holster. He got up again.
"So you're the girl from the other night. Glad to see you again." He said.
"I hope you're excited to die, too." I smirked. "So what happened to all that hospitality you gave me?" He asked. "It disappeared when you tried to shoot my friend." I replied. "He interfered with the Kotal's policies towards thieves. And I work for him. I gotta protect the policy, miss." He said. "'Protect the policy' my ass." I said before grabbing his wrist and punching him twice in the face. "You don't ever point a gun at my friends." I said coldly. I punched him twice again and pushed him away.
"Now you have a problem." He said.

I walked up to him. "Problem solved, asshole." I said. "Now, you answer me. Why do you work for Kotal Kahn?" I asked. He looked up at me before getting up. "Protection against Mileena. I thought that was clear the other night." He said. "To you, maybe." I said. "How are you so powerful? I've never been beaten by a-
"A girl?" I interrupted. "I've never been beaten by a person with so much skill in hand-to-hand combat." He finished. "Well now you have." I said with no regrets. "Okay, I see your point. I misunderstood you." He corrected himself. "Big time." I muttered. "But that's okay, Erron." I finished. "I've never told you my name." He said as he got up. "No, but I found out when I read you." I said. "Telepathy? What kinda bullshit-
"The kind that makes you all too predictable." I said. He squinted his eyes at me. "Now may we talk to Kotal Kahn?" I asked. He glared, then nodded. "Fine. I'll address the Kahn. You can come with." He said. I furrowed my eyebrows. "I have questions for you, ma'am." He said.

Erron and I walked through the halls of the building.
"So... Where are you from?" He asked. "I'm from Daegu, in South Korea." I said. "I haven't seen you at all until the other night." He said. "I'm aware." I muttered. "So why did you pay a visit to Outworld the other night?" He asked. "I needed some time out on my own. Work has been rather stressful, lately." I said. "Hmph... Lucky you." He muttered. "What's that supposed to mean?" I looked at him. "My whole life has been full of stress, mostly shit." He said. "My apologies. Maybe you need a night out, one that'll go right and take you away from all of your trouble." I suggested. He sighed. "It's never worked out." He said. "Well, here's Kotal Kahn." He directed. I saw a tall man with blue skin, covered with tribal gear. He turned to me.
"Hana. I am aware of your presence." He said. "Thank you, emperor. It is a pleasure to meet with you." I said. He shook my hand. "What news do you need to bring to my attention?" He asked. "Our news of refugees. A girl named Li Mei told us a story of her village, Sando, which appears to have been in the midst of a civil war with Mileena and the rebels. Her and her people are with us in Earthrealm, but I also have one more concern; Shinnok's Amulet. I am well aware that Mileena has it." I calmly said. He turned to the balcony, which showed the view of where I was an hour ago.
"Your news of refugees is troubling. Their exodus was not known to me. It is bigger than the interruption of punishment for petty theft. As for Mileena... She wields it against me, turns the tide in her favor, killing her a bit every time she uses it, however. I must get that amulet from her. It must be out of her hands, away from Quan Chi, both of those devils. How, I wonder..." He trailed off. "Maybe we can work together. It can be obtained more easily if we work together." I requested. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes, emperor. We need to extract the amulet from Mileena first, then keep it far away from Quan Chi. If he obtains it, he'll set Shinnok free and if Shinnok obtains the amulet, no one is safe." I said. Kotal Kahn nodded. "Yes... Very much indeed..." He agreed. "Very well then. I will allow my side to work with yours. I am allowing one of my mercenaries to stay with your team as a two-threat approach to Mileena. Erron, you will aid Hana and her team in the mission to find a way to retrieve the amulet." Kotal Kahn said. "Yes, emperor." Erron said as he bowed. Erron led me out. "What about your home?" I asked. "Earthrealm is my home. I am merely returning to where I was born. Outworld is a second home to me. I'll be fine. Any available rooms at base, sergeant?" He asked "Mine, but I don't think you'd-
"I'll live." He smirked. "Okay then." I chuckled.

We returned to see the others.
"Hana, where were you?" Cassie asked. "Negotiating." I said. "You went alone? Too risky." Jin said. "I saved your ass from a bullet. If I can do that, I can wonder this realm for an answer." I said. "We're working with Kotal to hunt for the amulet. And this one is joining us." I motioned to Erron. "I have my uses." He chuckled. "Yes, you do." I chuckled. "Well, partners are always good." He said.
