You know what happens when you interfere with a bratty flesh-pit daughter of Shao Kahn? You get to kill her after you gain intel. That's fine with me. As long as I get to put a bullet through her head like she put her sai through my hand, I'll be just fine.
Hana and I crept through the halls of her environment. I had my gun on me while she carried her sword.
"Ugh. Such a spoiled brat..." She muttered. "All this for a small throne." I said. There were fresh dead bodies laying around with open abdomens and severe blows to the head. "The throne is more important to Kotal than it is to her." Hana said. "You prove good points, Hana. Who taught you to think so well?" I asked. "My dad did." She said. "No mother?" I asked. "She died a long time ago. She was in an accident." She answered.
Holy shit.
"What about yours?" She asked. "Both of my parents were deadbeats." I replied. They really were. She looked at me. "Fuck, I'm sorry." She said. "It's fine. As long as I'm as far away from them, I'll be good." I said. She chuckled at my humor.
She stopped at the corner and looked around. "Alright, let's go. There's one of her servants." She said. I looked to see a girl, clad in dull yellow colors. She had black hair and dark skin. On her hips were her tonfa weapons. "The Edenian." Hana said. She took out a small blade and held it in her hand. With one sharp throw, she flicked her wrist and allowed it to fly towards the woman's side. The blade stuck into her side abdomen as she yelled in pain and fell to the ground.
How she throw that so skillfully, I wonder.
She walked out towards her, I followed.
"Hana!" She hissed as she held her bleeding side. "Nice to see you here, Tanya." Hana smirked. Tanya reared her fist back to throw her fire projectile. But I stopped her by pointing a pistol at her. "Do it and I'll blow a hole in your gut to accompany that cut." I threatened as I walked closer. "You will not reach Mileena!" She hissed. "We don't want her yet. We just want intel." I said. "You won't get it!" She hissed. "Oh, we will." Hana said. "No gun for you?" Tanya asked Hana. "I have guns. But I prefer to kill you by removing your head with one clean cut by a sword after all this is done." Hana said. "The throne belongs to Mileena. She is Shao Kahn's heir." Tanya said. "She is the true false empress. If she becomes empress under false accusation, the realms will only fall apart." Hana said. "She promised a free Edenia. Kotal Kahn would never do that!" She hissed. "You really believe Mileena will keep her promises? She barely promised to keep you protected!" I said. "I'm still alive, aren't I?" She asked. "I meant without getting attacked. She promised that you would never be attacked or hurt. Hana could have done worse that would end your life. And she pays you less than she promises." I said. "What do you know, mercenary?" She hissed. "I work for Kotal Kahn. He pays me more than he promises. Much more than Mileena would pay me if I were on her side." I said. "You will never get what you want from me!" She yelled. "We'll also find Rain and force him to talk, too. You'll both answer us." Hana said. "If not, we will do what we can to get you to speak, even if it means torture." Hana said. "You wouldn't do that knowing Mileena would come after you all." Tanya said. "We're not scared. Just try and do something and we'll put you down." Hana threatened. "You wouldn't..." Tanya said. "I promise we will kill you if you take it that far." Hana glared. Tanya looked down in defeat. "You will come with us, now."

We led Tanya into the room where Li Mei sat before. General Blade looked at us. "Has anyone found Rain?" She asked. Torr came in with Ferra at his side, for once, and Rain slung over his shoulder. He wasn't bruised, but he was so exhausted that he cared not to move. Torr threw him in the chair next to Tanya's. He showed no signs of consciousness. "Someone get a medic and see if Rain is dying or something." General Blade said. "You no need. Torr wake him up for you." Ferra said. Torr got in Rain's face and roared loudly, causing Rain to wake up in a fit of gasps and yells. I found this very funny, even though it scared the shit out of Rain, and probably scarred him for life.
General Blade nodded at me, then pointed her head towards Rain. I nodded and walked over to Rain.
"Remember me?" I asked. He looked up. "You... You're...! You're the one from the other night, the Outworld Festival, the mercenary! You work for Kotal Kahn!" He said. "Good. You know one thing. Now that you're awake, you need to give us intel." I said. His eyes widened. "You won't get anything from-
I pointed my pistol at him. "How about now?" I asked. He shook his head.
"Now, Rain." I urged. He looked down. "Mileena has the amulet..." He said. "What?" Hana asked. "You're lying... Shinnok's amulet?!" I exclaimed. "I tell no lies. She has it and uses it to her advantage." He said. "How did she get it?" I asked. There was silence until Tanya looked at him.
"Just tell them." She said. I turned to her. "What do you know?" I asked. "Mileena only uses it when she needs to. She doesn't use it often, but she wields its energy without precision." She said. I looked back at Rain. "How did she get it? There's no way she could have taken it from Raiden's Sky Temple. The guards, the protection, and the impossibility to surpass the death traps? No one can reach it! How did she get it?" I asked. "Stealing the amulet was my genius. It kills her a bit each time she uses it." He said, smirking under his mask, I bet. "Treason... Very well, Rain." I said. I put my gun back in its holster and turned to General Blade.
"We're done with them for now." I said. The two were taken away, probably to a location where they'd stay in case we needed more intel.
