Dangerous mistakes

~DIXIE POV~

Feelings Addison's lips against mine were all too much as I immediately kissed her back savoring the kiss. Our kiss starts to turn hungry and raw as she moves to sit on my lap. She puts her hands on each side of my face as I put my hands on her hips pulling her even closer to me. We pull away for a moment catching our breath before immediately kissing each other again. She moans against my mouth which sends a shiver down my spine. She moves away from my lips and starts kissing down to my neck. I throw my head back enjoying the feeling of Addison's lips against my skin when all of sudden it hits me that she's taken. I slightly push her away from me.

"Addy" I say and she lifts her head and looks at me. It suddenly hit her too and she immediately gets off of me.
"Oh my god I'm sorry Dixie" she says putting even more distance between us. We stayed quiet as I didn't quite know what to do but eventually, I spoke up.
"You okay?" I ask and she still doesn't look at me.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm sorry I shouldn't have kissed you please don't let that destroy our friendship" She says and I smile.
"Addison it's okay really I shouldn't have kissed back, it's probably just the wine" She laughs and shakes her head.

"I've always been a bad drinker" She says and I smile.
"Me too" I say and she smiles at me.
"Yeah, I know...toy thief" I laugh and she laughs too. I get up and walk towards her to stand in front of her.
"Let's agree to just be friends" I say and she nods her head. I stick my hand out to her and she raises an eyebrow but shakes my hand.
"Friends" She says and we look into each other eyes our hands lingering on each other. We slowly pull away from each other.

"I should head home and get some sleep" I say and she nods her head.
"Yeah I should sleep too" She walks me to the door and I turn to her and hesitantly hug her. She hugs me back as I bury my face into her neck. We pull apart and I walk out quickly heading back to my apartment and closing the door before leaning against it. I hit the back of my head against the door and closed my eyes. Idiot.

~ADDISON POV~

I sit on the edge of the stage letting my legs swing forward and back as the other ladies practice their routine.
"You are quiet" I hear Megan say as she takes a seat next to me. I sighed and threw myself back so that I was lying down on the stage.
"And dramatic" She says smiling.
"You ever do something bad?" I ask.
"Everyday." I look up at her and she smirks.
"I'm serious"
"So am I. Look around at our job sweetheart do you really think I would do this if I was a good girl?" She asks.

"And you are in the same boat as me except you keep this life a secret" I sigh and look away from her.
"You know my story. My parents would end my life and my boyfriend would think I'm a slut" I say and she shakes her head taking out a cigarette and putting it in between her lips.
"Your family is an asshole and your boyfriend is even worse than them" She says searching her pockets for what I presume is a lighter.
"Yo ladies any of you got a lighter!" She shouts turning around to face some of the girls on the stage.

Tina tosses her a lighter and Megan catches it easy.
"Thank you darling" she says lighting her cigarette.
"Can I ask for some advice?" I ask her as she looks back at me. She nods her head.
"What if there is someone else that you might want but you're not too sure if it will work out or not?" I ask her.
"Who said any relationship would work? It's up to you and that other person to make it work" She says and I look up at the ceiling.
"Alora" I immediately get up and see Ethan not far away from us.

"Come I need you for something" He says and I look at Megan and the look on her face she knew exactly. All the ladies knew but we were all too scared to stand up to him. Ethan was a violent and scary man. I hop off the stage and walk towards him.
"Megan and the rest of you. Get to practicing, don't disappoint me this weekend" He says and I look at Megan.
"Wouldn't want to disappoint you. Ethan" Megan says dryly but with a hint of hatred. Ethan huffs and pulls me away from the girls.

"Ethan I really should be practicing" I tell him in hopes he will let me out of this one.
"You weren't practicing, now come" he says dragging me into his office and doing what he always does to me. I hate it. It makes me feel absolutely disgusting but have to do it otherwise he will hit me or fire me and then I'm really screwed. It didn't last very long this time thank goodness and I went and continued with the rest of my day mainly doing my routine. Finally, the end of the day came and I changed back into my normal clothes and headed outside the club when someone caught me in the corner of my eye leaning against the wall.

I turn my head and squint my eyes in the darkness when the shadow person comes into the light. There stood a smiling Dixie and I immediately calmed down and gave her a gentle smile.
"Dixie" I say softly.
"Sorry if I scared you. I was waiting for you to finish but I didn't know what time you finished so I kind of just chilled out here for an hour" She says. She's such a cutie.
"Did you need something?" I ask and she shakes her head.
"Nope just wanted to see you" She says which makes me smile more.

"Can I take you home? I see you didn't take your car today" She asks and I nod my head.
"Yeah one of my friends picked me up this morning...she was going to give me a ride back home but since you're here and offering" I say.
"Just give me a moment" I say and she nods her head.
"Sure" I quickly hurried back inside and told Megan I was going home with Dixie and before she could ask who that was I was already out the door and back to Dixie.
"I'm ready to go" I say and she smiles at me and we head home together.

Small moments like this make me want something. Something mysterious and exciting and that is what makes it dangerous.
