It's a nice day. The new and ex-boss were standing on the rooftop, overseeing their territory bathed in warm golden stays of the sunset. They chat unhurriedly, a few sentences the most, and then let the silence stretch again before one of them breaks it.

Driver is leisurely chitchatting about some story of when black hand joined then and when he looks back across at Cassian, he sees him staring ahead with a frown. Driver waits.

He looks thoughtful for a moment, eyebrows furrowed so much Driver is tempted to joke about him getting wrinkles so young "What was it like? Awakening as a villain..." he asks quietly.

A beat. Driver looks up to the sky and hums. "It was exciting in the beginning, I liked knowing I was different and exploring my new abilities."

"After my awakening, I hacked into NASA to get blueprints of a rocket, and I hung it on my bedroom wall. Almost got caught too." Cassian snaps to look at him like a deer in the headlight. He did not just hear that. "Yes, not my finest work, but I got away with it." the ex-vilzone boss shrugs and loops his arms behind his head, a picture of nonchalance. Ok, he did actually hear it correctly, still, what the fuck.

"There wasn't much to my civilian life, so I didn't look back when I decided to enter a Villzone. Later I met Crow, and she helped me adjust more to being hidden away here. There were hard times, of course, but nothing the Gadam vilzone couldn't solve together as family~" he answers breezily.

"Everyone has their own triggers and stuff to deal with, but it's always the hardest, in the beginning, it takes time to get used to it."

Dual-colored eyes are reflected in the purple vizor and Cassian finds himself in the reflection looking back. The black markings, the hair, the eyes. The completely different face. Gangu stared back at him.

   "Do you need DSP?"

Letting out a sharp breath the ex-psyker shakes his head.

"..." Driver didn't look like he agreed with him but he stayed silent. Cassian was grateful for it, after all, at the moment his head was filled with other things.

Cassian Lee is dead, his body at the bottom of a sea and his reputation ruined. Jeff is dead, leaving him a chance for survival and the mystery of his murder on his shoulders.

And Gangu Gwon was a kid. A kid who will never grow up now that Cassian killed him. Took away his life out of selfishness.

And became a villain in his place.

"When we fought you were winning, but I would've won in the end."

Startled, Cassan snaps his gaze back to stare at him.

"I will stop you" hangs in the air, unspoken but firmly there. He wants to say something, but even with opened mouth, no sound comes out. He swallows and forces his face to harden and hide away his feelings, remembering his training. You must stay calm for the civilians, you're the only one they can rely on, if you panic they will have no one.

"You're strong, I know your grade and potential, but you're not alone now."

"We're villains, but we make our own choices. We follow our own paths." Driver says carefully "We're not gonna go crazy easily. You're not gonna lose it, you got this."

"He's right Cassian," Moros tells him, floating from above. "Yeah." he hates how shaky his voice sounds, stupid puberty.

Driver takes a step forward, a smile blossoming to reveal pearly white teeth "Nobody can touch you here you know, and you're part of this zone. We stick together, no matter what, you're not getting rid of us."

Cassian sighs and despite everything, finds a smile tugging on his lips.

"Oh my, look at that pretty smile!" Driver beams "Don't worry, we love you too boss~"  and tugs him forward to wrap a hand around his shoulder.

Cassian shoves him off.
