My first day at Skz News Agency and ive already humiliated myself. Since im 'the new guy', im running around the place like a lost puppy doing little jobs like getting people coffee or passing on documents.
However, the two women that have already asked for coffee three times today, like to gossip alot instead of doing their work and its quite entertaining. But they are rude and disrespectful, everytime ive given them coffee not one of them has said thank you. If i didn't make it sweet or hot enough id have to go back to the machine and make a whole new one.
"Didn't you hear? Mr Serious is coming to the event!" One of them spoke loudly, not acknowledging me walking into the office. I bowed at other workers who did notice me though.
"Really!? He hasnt come to one before, people said it was because he doesnt like these types of things, im not surprised though" The other added.
"I wonder who he'll bring" I slowly walked over to them, coffees in hand.
"He'll probably go alone. Apparently he cut ties with his family" I was surprised but hid the fact i was listening while placing the coffees down gently on their desks. Again not one of them said thank you, i rolled my eyes as i turned to leave.
"Why would he do such a thing? Got any ideas newcomer" Stopping in my path, i slowly turned around to the pair staring at me with judgemental eyes. Id gotten used to the name 'newcomer' or 'new guy', not one of the people ive spoken to called me Jisung. It was kind of annoying but there was nothing i could do about it.
"Um... who is Mr Serious?" How did they expect me to know? I didnt really want to have a conversation with them but from what ive heard, im sure they'd spread some stupid rumour about me.
"Of course! He wont know!" The two women looked at each other eagerly. It scared me a bit, watching them squeal over me.
"Mr serious is actually Mr Lee. We call him that because he is so serious and no one has ever seen him smile or show any other emotion other than his same old cold expression, even so, he is still the most attractive man in the agency" She spoke so quickly it took me a few seconds to fully understand what she said.
I cringed at them, they reminded me of the girls from middle school cooing over guys that were just a bunch of assholes.
"I dont think you should be-"
"Gossiping again ladies?" A voice from behind interrupted me"
"Ah... Mr Bang" The women were both very flustered making me turn around in confusion.
My eyes met with a tall, blonde-haired man wearing a smiley expression. His suit was grey and has no creases in it and his hair was parted in the middle, revealing his forehead slightly.
"Im here to collect the papers i asked for this morning. Someone was meant to deliver them to me but no one did" As soon as he finished his sentence i could feel two sets of eyes burning holes in the back of my head.
"Sorry Mr Bang, he was meant to deliver them but he never did" I gasped in disbelief. Not caring to hide my expression, I spun my head around in annoyance. I wasnt going to get in trouble for something i hadnt done.
"Excuse me!?" Now everyone in the office had looked up from their desks, watching from a distance. The two liars were clearly taken back by my response. "What? Did you think because I'm younger than you and new here you could just blame me for your wrongs!?"
I could hear people whispering in the background but i wasn't going to let people treat me like crap, even if it was my first day.
"First of all, neither of you havent even said thank you for the THIRD cup of coffee youve asked for today. Then you have the audacity to gossip about your boss about things that you dont even know if they are true or not" I know this isnt going to do any good for me after but ive had enough, i just wanted to have a nice first day.
"Dont say that i didnt take your papers because you never asked me to, even when ive made several visits to this office! Im not a magician, do you expect me to read your mi-"
"Okay thats enough" Mr Bang cut me off before i could continue arguing.
Taking a deep breath, I left the room. As i walked past the window that looked into the office, i saw the women bowing to Mr Bang and everyone else was still shocked from what just happened. Should i have just let them blame me? Was i going to get fired? I already left so i decided to take my break early, there was only around ten minutes left anyway.
Walking to the food court, i decided to sit at the table in the far corner. There were a few people in there already but it was a big open space so its not like they were anywhere near me. I sighed and pulled out my phone, remembering that id left my food at home since i was in a rush this morning.
A few minutes past and more people gathered, i noticed a few people from the office i had just been in. Turning my head, i kept scrolling through my phone hoping no one would notice me.
If im honest, i felt alone and out of place thats why i was kind of glad when a person walked up to me with a lunchbox in hand.
"Are you saving this table for someone or is no one sitting here" I looked up from my screen and found a cute looking guy, maybe younger than me, with black hair staring at me with his fox-like eyes.
"No, im new so i dont know anyone"
"Do you mind if i sit here then?" He smiled at me, instantly making me smile back.
"Go ahead" He then sat down with his box and looked back at me.
FIRST CHAPTER... Not sure if that was a good place to leave it but there we go. Its shorter than id like it to be but for now we will go with it. Ive tried to make sure there are no mistakes so if there is, please tell me :b
