Quick Authors Note- Im sorry this took so long, ive been overwhelmed by things going on, and so ive been unable to find time to continue writing, and techno's recent death has made it a bit harder as i found comfort in his channel. My heart goes out to his family, and i know he wouldnt want any of his fans to be held back because hes gone off to fight god. Also please be warned there might be spelling errors, and this is pretty short, my apologies! But without further delay, heres chapter one :)

~Years Later~
~Y/N's POV~Snow softly fell, dissapearing into the leather that both me and River wore. My armor becoming almost heavier the more the snow soaked into it. Lights came into view, showing that I had almost reached the inn that I had marked to stop for our travel back to Kaer Morhen for the winter.
"Just a bit more, were almost there." I said as I pat the side or Rivers neck, knowing how long she had carried the weight of everything on her back, including the weight of me in full armour. She softly neighed in response as I guided her down the path to the stables next to the inn.
"Time for you to eat and rest, and for me to do the same." I softly spoke to River, hopping off her and tying her up in one of the stable stalls, walking over to the inn as the stablehand rushed to care for her.
The door creaked loudly as I stepped into the inn, countless pairs of eyes locking onto me upon my entry. Walking towards the keeper of the tavern, I set down on her counter enough coin to pay for a room and bath.
"One room, and a bath." I calmly but firmly said, locking eyes with her.
"Down the hall, third door on the left. Ill send for someone to help with your bath." She replied, taking the coin I had layed out before turning to send after someone. I swiftly turned and went to my room, ignoring the stares from the people around me.
Fucking annoyances, what have they never seen a damn witcher? Maybe its just because im a female one the damn arses. I thought, as I stepped into my room, shutting the door behind me and setting down my swords and lighting the fireplace.
After a few minutes a soft knock could be heard, as a girl timidly opened the door and spoke, "I warmed your bath, i-its in the next room over if you dont mind f-following me?" Nodding and following her to the next room, she shut the door and I began to undress.
"You dont need to be afraid of me, I might be what they call a monster but I wont harm anyone whom isnt a monster." I said, slipping into the warm water and turning to give her a soft smile, causing her to send one back.
"Thank you." she softly replied, as she walked over to begin washing my hair, "I..um..." she began timidly.
"Hm?"
"I always hear tales of witchers with white hair, why isnt yours white?" she finished quietly.
"Thats what the people say. They try and make us out to be monsters. The less human we sound the more reason for them to fear and shun us."
"Why would they want to do that?" she questioned again, chilish genuine curiousity showing through her timid appearance.
"There arent many of us. We have abilities regular humans dont posess. Humans, like you, are afraid of whatever isnt like them. Thats their nature." She softly began pulling things out of my hair,
"Thats cruel, you look and act just like us."
"Darling you have much to learn. Your still young. One thing to keep in mind as you grow up, The world is a cruel place. If you decide to make it better, or if you decide to make it worse, the future is up to the hands of younger ones like you." She finished washing my hair and pulling things out of it, before standing next to me,
"Your towel is on the counter over there, when your done bathing." I watched as she practically ran out of the room, she happily spoke up with a smile before shutting the door and running off, "I promise to help make this world better."
I softly smiled as I finished up my bath by cleaning my body and heading back to my room. Once I had shut and locked the door to my room, I dried off and then climed into the covers, drifting off to sleep.
