Vladimira's P.O.V

Six weeks and I never noticed.

I never noticed the small amount of weight gain, I never noticed that my nausea may be a sign of something, I never noticed the small reoccurring aches over my body and I never noticed my mild mood swings.

They were irrelevant until I checked my calendar this morning.

I was supposed to go into heat nearly eleven days ago but I didn't. Unlike human periods, which are sometimes late, she-wolves never go into heat late. It's always precise and on-time.

Looking into the mirror, I frown at the small protrusion of my stomach.

That could be a baby!

"I can't be pregnant, Titus and I used protection," I whisper in disbelief to no one in particular.

Greer's emotions amp up at the thought of being pregnant with Titus's child.

'We have to take a pregnancy test. Vlad, you have to stay strong, don't back out now. We're in this together,' Greer says wholeheartedly.

A small smile stretches across my face as a few tears leak from my eyes. I wipe them away quickly.

Be brave, Vladimira.

Quickly, I pull my hair into a ponytail before grabbing my keys and bounding down the stairs.

As my luck would have it, my father sat at the kitchen island, sipping some coffee and looking over some files.

"Where are you going, Mira?" My father asks without looking up. I swallow harshly as I turn around.

So much for sneaking past without being noticed, I think unhappily.

"I'm going to the store. Do you need anything?" I ask as calmly as I can.

My father eyes me suspiciously, knowing I'm hiding something, just not exactly what. My heartbeat had given away my nervousness.

I might be pregnant and the baby is your arch enemy's, that's what's wrong, Dad.

"No, but be careful. Titus has made threats because we stole back the moon dust."

That's just great.

If I am pregnant, the father of my child will be just as furious as my father because I deceived him.

"Okay," I say quickly before walking out of the house. Once inside the safety of my car, I release a sob.

I can't pity myself, this was all my fault and it wasn't like I stopped Titus.

How could I have gotten pregnant? We used protection!

'The condom could have broke,' Greer suggests.

'He has been on this earth for so long, don't you think he would know how to use a condom properly?'

Greer hesitates. 'He could have been distracted,'

I shake my head before shoving the keys to my car into the ignition. 'Well, it doesn't matter. I need to take a pregnancy test.'

Greer doesn't reply, probably trying to let everything sink into her brain.

I decide that buying the pregnancy test at a human occupied store would be best.

If a werewolf sees me, Luna Mira, buying a pregnancy test, word will definitely travel back to my father.

I grip the handles of the shopping basket in my hand tightly as I scan over the selections of beverages.
