prolouge part 1: late night call

Scraton,pennsylvania

No ones pov

Phone rings, Chris grumbles, it rings again, soon enough he gave in, speaking in a tired voice,

Chris: hello?

S: is this mr.cerulli?

C: yes? Who's this?

S: my apologies mr.cerulli, my name is mrs.sanchez, I'm a social worker for the state-

C: okay what's this for?

S: if you could possibly come to the hospital I can explain more.

C: unless I know I'm not leaving.

S: sir, you have a daughter.

With that moment, the world paused.

C: that's impossible.

S: do you remember a woman named Rachel Francesca?

The name slightly rang a bell, then it hit him in the face,

C: somewhat?

S: I'm sorry to say but she passed away Monday morning.

C: I'm sorry to hear that.

S: I can explain more at the hospital.

C: okay, I'll be there soon.

S: thank you sir.

C: be there soon.

Half and hour later

At the hospital

Chris walked in through the sliding doors. He walked over to the front desk asking, " May I ask where mrs.sanchez would be?" Soon enough he heard, " Mr.cerulli?" He looked over to see this woman in a navy blue pantsuit.

She walked over and held out her hand, " I'm Mrs.Sanchez, but please call me sandy." Chris said, " Sandy, I'm Chris. So I really have a daughter?" Still in shock of the fact that there was a mini child of half his blood and half her mothers. " she's a quiet one I can tell you that."

Chris asked, " what's her name?" She replied, " sapphire Mackenzie Francesca." That is the cutest name. " how old is she?" She said, " six." Chris couldn't help but aww. " I can go get her really quick, but I do need to ask, would you take her in? If not she will go into foster care." Chris pondered, She said, " I'll give you time."

She left for a moment, then came back with a little girl. She had jet black hair, green eyes, she looked just like Chris. " hewoo." You can't help but aww. " are you taking me home?" Chris heart just melted.

He thought for a moment, sandy said " sapphire, this is your dad." She reached over, sandy gave sapphire to Chris, she latched on hugging him like it was the last time they'd meet. " sowwy I didn't get to meet you sooner."

This just broke Chris, " hang on go collect your things I'll be right back." She looked into his eyes with green emeralds, " promise?" Chris nodded, " yes. I promise."

Chris set her down, and he stepped outside for a moment, what was he gonna tell the guys?

Chris's pov

I kept pacing back and forth wondering, how was I gonna tell them I have a kid? You know what f**k it.

Group chat: Chris, Justin, vinny, Ricky, Ryan

C: hey guys, if you get the chance tomorrow morning meet me at my house please. It's important.

J: okay. You alright man...

V: okay. Shutting off my phone. I want to sleep.

R: you okay Chris?

Ryan: sure. You okay?

C: yes and no, it's hard to explain but I'll explain tomorrow.

Conversation: Chris and gia

C: hey Gia.

G: hey Chris. Where are you?

C: Gia when I tell you this please don't freak out. Just allow me to explain.

G: your scaring me what's wrong?

C: seven years ago before we started dating, I met this woman, it was a short fling, but her name was Rachel Francesca.

G: okay? And?

C: She recently passed away. Monday to be exact.

G: I'm sorry Chris.

C: but what I just found out she was pregnant with a kid.

G: oh my chris.

C: Gia. I have a kid.

G: oh my-

Silence happened over the phone.

G: can I meet her please?

She had a bit of happiness in her voice.

G: please?

C: yes. But I also told the guys to meet at the house tomorrow morning.

G: that's okay. But what's her name?

C: sapphire Mackenzie Francesca. And she's six years old.

I heard Gia awww.

G: aww, Chris, that's the world's cutest name ever.

C: Gia I can't thank you enough. For sticking by me, and sticking by me with this.

G: Chris I love you. I never want that to change, just now I get to love the both of you.

C: I love you gia.

G: I love you to Chris.

I hung up smiling, my heart is crying. I walked back in, and sapphire was asleep on the chair with a nightmare before Christmas stuffie. I asked quietly, " she's an angel Chris. Take good care of her. She's been through a lot. With losing her mom, and the hell she's been through."

I asked, " what exactly happened?" She sighed, you could tell her heart broke, " her mother's boyfriend abused her and her mother. After she ditched him, she became abusive." Hearing this broke my heart. " the only thing that got her by was her stuffed animal and music." I sighed, " no kid should go through that. I promise to protect her with my life."

She smiled, " here's her things and her car seat." Soon enough we heard this little yawn, we looked over, " morning sleepy head." She laughed, my god this was the cutest laugh. She ran and hugged my legs, " I might die of a heart attack." Sandy laughed, " sapphire. I will miss you. Be a good girl ''okay." She hugged her legs then awww. " I promise."

Soon enough we headed home, she sat in the backseat, " did miss sandy tell you what happened?" I sighed, " sadly yes. I am so sorry sapphire." She said, " it's okay. I'm just glad she's better now." This is breaking my heart right now. I'm not much of a softie but she already has me wrapped around her finger.

She then asked, " will I have a new mommie?" How do you tell a kid that, " more like-" She interrupted, " it's okay if she is." I had a smirk appear to my face, " I sowwy I interrupted." I said, " It's okay sapphire. You don't have to be sorry." She said, " okay."

This is so freaking adorable, " you seem familiar." I raised an eyebrow, " you have so many tattoos." I smiled. " there's so pretty." I laughed. " come on, we're almost home."

At home

Gia came out, " hi chris." I had sapphire in my arms asleep, " aww. She's so adorable" sapphire soon started to wake up, " hi sleeping beauty." She yawned, " who are you?" She laughed, " my name is gia." She reached out. Gia let her cling to her. " it's nice to meet you." She's so damn cute.
