Chapter One. :)

     All eyes are on me as I enter Westville High. After a few minutes of making my so-called 'entrance', people from different parts of the hallway started making their ways toward me for a quick conversation.

     You know. Those quick hellos, how-are-you, and see-you-in-lunch kind of convo which I replied on nicely. Hey, that's my thing. Being nice.

     I may be all popular and all that but I don't get it why some girls in other schools also holding the same title as me has to be a bitch. I'm not naming names, though. Ahem, Mikayla Johnson. Girls like her are not included in my be-nice-to list.

     I reached my locker shortly after Max Umbridge, school's newspaper journalist, asked me a few questions about cheerleading and then gave me a cup of steaming coffee.

     "Thanks, Max!" I shouted before he disappeared through the bodies of high school students down the hallway.

     I turned around and opened my locker to get my books and checked myself in the little mirror I have inside my locker. Being the it girl of the school, I need to always look my best. Where have you ever seen a popular girl, walking around the school with trashed hair and messy make-up? Right?

    "Thanks for what?"

   I shut my locker using my left foot while I was carrying my books in one arm and my coffee on the other arm. Todd was there, leaning on the locker next to mine with a smirk on his face. He looked as handsome as ever with those dreamy hazel eyes, and brown hair that was obviously unprepared for the day. But in a Zac Efron kind-of messy. Can't believe he's still mine.

     We only started dating a few months back, after winning a football match against this school from a town near us and he made his winning speech in front of everyone.

{A FEW MONTHS BACK}

  After Todd scored the final touchdown at the last minute, the whole crowd form the bleachers erupted into massive cheers.

    Even us cheerleaders were screaming and jumping, too. Hey, we can't help it. We freaking won!

    Celebrating with my cheer sisters, I can't stop myself but take a peek at Todd. He was looking at me. Not like you-have-something-on-your-face look. That's just way awkward.

     What I meant was that he was really staring at me. Staring into my eyes. For that moment, I stopped jumping. I simply stared back into those warm hazel eyes of his and gave him a small smile. He smiled back.

    After being put down by his teammates, here goes Max again, also being the school's announcer during games, with a microphone and a guy carrying a video camera behind him.

    "Todd, what do you feel after scoring that winning touchdown at the last minute?" Max asked.

  "Uhm, I feel great." Todd replied without breaking our kind-of-weird but sweet in the same time eye contact between us.

     I was feeling tingly. You know? That feeling after watching your favorite movie wherein your favorite celebrity stars in and you pretend that you're his or her love interest. That type.

     "So, what would you want to say to the whole school right now? You know, sort-of like your winning speech?" Max asked again.

     I can tell he figured out that Todd isn't really focused in the mini-interview thing going on because he was trying to see exactly where Todd was staring at.

     "Uhm, winning speech?" Todd said. He broke his eye contact with me and flashed his ever winning smile straight at the camera which was connected to the two huge screens beside the bleachers.

     "I have nothing really to say right now other than repeating 'we won' or 'we did it' to my teammates," he continued. "But if you want to hear something worth listening to then here it is."

     The whole school turned silent, waiting for the school's "king" make his speech. He took a deep breath and made a dramatic pause before he looked back at me again and smiled.

     "Stacey Harper, will you be my girlfriend?" he said. In front of the whole school.

{BACK TO THE PRESENT}

     I really didn't need to finish that trip to memory lane just so you'll know my answer. Of course, I said no. Duhhh.

     Nah, I'm just joking. Why would I say no? I consider Todd as one of those people I usually run to when I want to talk to someone about the stress of being popular since he's one being the school's quarterback and all, or who I'm really comfortable with.

     Back to reality now. Hahaha.

     "Max brought me a coffee this morning. Want a sip?" I asked. He looked hesitant at first but he took it from my hand and eyed it carefully.

     "You tried it already?" Todd asked.

     "Nope, not yet. Why?" I said, confused why he had to ask that.

     "I don't know, just to see it's not poisoned. I guess," he muttered. "But since you haven't tried it yet, I'll do the honors to see if this coffee is worth it for your mouth to taste. Your highness."

     I laughed at what he said and watched him simply take a sip of my coffee. He grinned and nodded his head. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and gave me the coffee back.

     "Totally worth it for your taste buds, babe," he said and grinned. I took a sip and in fairness, the coffee tastes so good. Todd was just there looking at me and gave me a huge smile.

     "What?" I asked.

     "Nothing, it's just that we like made out indirectly." He smirked and wiggled his eyebrows which made me laugh some more. Not because it looks weird, but more of it's so cute I want to kiss him.

     "You know, if you want me to kiss you, all you have to do is just ask me."

     "Really? Then okay, kiss me." He smiled and puckered his lips jokingly.

     Well, it's more of an order than a question but it's near. I gave him a soft peck on the lips and smiled before I pulled my lips away from his.

     He gave me a pout. "That's not a kiss," he complained.

     "Yes, it is," I said. Suddenly, the bell rang which made me jump a little and spill a little coffee on the floor. Todd sighed dramatically, which me made giggle a little.

     "Oh, fine." I gave him another kiss, but this time, it's longer and more romantic. I got this feeling again in my stomach that I always have everytime I kiss Todd. I felt his hand on the small of my back and his other one at the back of my head to pull me closer to him. I felt his tongue licking my lower lip asking for an entrance. That's when I pulled away.

     "Hold your horses, cowboy. Later okay? I'll be late for Mr. Shay's class," I said hurriedly before walking fast to my class. "Oh, wait!" I ran back to Todd and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

     "Bye! Love you!" I kind of shouted before walking to History class, throwing the unfinished coffee on one of the nearby trashcans before spilling more unnecessary drops of coffee. I can't run now, my hair will be messy. But it'll be worth it I guess than detention.

     I ran, but not that aggresive much so my hair won't be that much messy. I'm so thankful I chose to wear flats today than my usual heels.

================================================================================

I know, not my best but I really want to get this over with before I forget some ideas in my head right now. =)))) Sorry it took so long, I never really had the time even though it's our summer break. There's a picture of someone whom I think fits for the role of Stacey. I'm not saying it has to be Taylor Swift, though. But Taylor Swift looks so innocent in that pic so I chose this one. Anyway, vote. And pretty please, comment so I'll know what to fix for the future chapters. ;)
