Chapter 10. "Stay With Me."

Sage's POV:

I am having a great time. Im with Riley, and that's all that matters to me. Me, Riley, Vera, and Liam are hanging out talking about just life and shit.
1 hour later:

"Soo like when are you guys going to make - out?" Liam says bringing up the fact that we still haven't made out.
"Brother, why do you care if we make - out so much?" Riley pouted.
"3 reasons. You guys aren't even official dating. You guys obviously want to, and I want to spend time with Vera." Liam whinned.
We all just stared. I mean he's not wrong. Me and Riley aren't dating. And yea i really do wanna make out with him. And the last part......well at least she has someone.
"Actually he has got a point. I mean how come neither of you asked each to be a thing? Is it because you need to make out...... Y'know, take away the tension....." Vera teased.
i cut her off and said, "well, ask Riley. He was the one who pulled me into this. Also, just saying, making out with Riley doesn't seem so bad." I really said that out loud. Everyone but Riley smirked at me.
"What are you looking at? At least I didn't lie and say I don't wanna make out with him."
I look at Riley who is practically as red as a cherry tomato.
"Care to explain why you aren't dating this beautiful young lady?" We turned to see Riley's father peaking in.
"Good question father. I would have asked her already, but I got shot.  Remember? Also I didn't want to rush her decision. I thought she didn't care to be honest."
"What of course i care. I was waiting for you to ask and you never did." I explained. "
"Oh also me and your mother are leaving, please be careful and don't do anything crazy." And with that, the king left.
"Yeaaaa! No parents! We can do whatever we want!" Liam said running across the room.
I didn't care about whatever Liam was excited about. I just wanna know when Riley will ask me out already. I know he almost died the other day, and he has a lot on his mind, but I just need to be with him. I'll wait however long it takes, but I would like it if he said something now.

"Well, uh can me and Sage have some alone time? I think it's time to actually sort this out." Riley says looking for Vera and Liam to leave.
"Oooooo the lovebirds need privacy. I think they might actually make - out this time!" Vera said jumping up.
"Whatever. I don't care as long as you guys are happily in love and dating so make - out all you want......" He says trailing off as he leaves the room with Vera.
"God, they are a pain in the ass. What is there to sort out, pretty boy?" I said, now putting all of my attention on him.
"Well, I wanted to tell you that I love you. I never actually got a chance to say it to you properly." Riley said as he started blushing heavily.
"Love you too, baby. Now, I'm tired of waiting so can we just make - out already?"
Riley smirked at me and kissed me softly. "Sorry, love. Who makes out in a hospital? Your words, not mine."
He said teasingly.
"Dude, not fair. Got me excited for nothing." I pouted.
"Ok. Ok. How about this. When I get out of the hospital, I'll make - out with you as much as you want." He said with puppy dog eyes.
"Deal. But don't forget this conversation because I will remember." I say jumping into his arms. I just sat there, holding him. He's so.... comfortable. I mean he literally wouldn't pressure me to do anything. I can tell how much he loves me.
"Also, i wanted them out so i uh- can finally ask you to be my girlfriend......" He said blushing hard once again.
I turned myself around and sat on his lap, facing him.
"Well of course, babe. I wouldn't want to be anyone else's girlfriend. I'm starting to realize that you blush a lot near me...... I wonder why." I say getting closer to his face.
"Well, uh- you just make me nervous sometimes. I mean you are really beautiful. I can't really control how much i blush around you."
He says keeping eye contact.
"How is it possible to be so cute yet so hot at the same time......" I say as he looks into my eyes.
"Well, love. Maybe i should be the one asking that question....."
He looked at my lips and then back at my eyes. We both move closer to each other's lips untill we are at least a inch apart.
Suddenly the door flew open.
We moved away from each other.
"You guys flirt to much, just get to the point already." Liam pouted.
"Dude! They were making progress! I told you to wait! Unpatient little asshole!" Vera yelled at him.
"Wait, you guys were ease - dropping on us?" Riley shook his head.
