chapter 5."Perfect Time 4 Me"

Riley's POV: Great. My phone is ringing. And it's my mom. Perfect time to ruin the moment eh? I let go of Sage and answer the phone. " Riley Allen Brook! Get your ass home now!" My mother shouts into her phone. Seconds later, she hangs up Without letting me say a word. This is great. Now i have to leave Sage. "Uh love, i gotta go but I'll send a carriage for you tomorrow." "Ok! See you tomorrow!"I see the clear disappointment in her face. I give her a kiss on her head, and walk to my carriage a few blocks away. 1 hour later: I finally got home. I grab all my stuff out the carriage and walk into the guarded castle. The guards let me in, and i walk to the library where my mom spends most of her time. She doesn't say a word, but i can see her look of disapproval. My brother, Liam, probably told her where i went. "Hello mother. What seems to be the problem?" "Riley. How many times do I and your father have to tell you that the peasant girl is not good for you? You should be ashamed." I shake my head and chuckle. " What is wrong with you, demon child?" " Oh nothing mother. Just that..... you're not in charge of that anymore. Im becoming king, so now your under me. Sage will be coming over tomorrow, and she will be staying for as long as she likes. You got that? Good." She just scoffed in my face and walked away. I go upstairs to my bedroom, change into shorts and i fall asleep. Sage's POV: Vera and Vinne left. My grandmother already went to sleep. I go into our little bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face. I put my braids into a bun, and i change into a tank top and shorts. I try to fall asleep, but i can't. Im just to excited to see my future husband. That feels weird to say. You'll never hear me say it again, for that fact. I think about my grandmother and my friends. I slowly drift off to sleep, and i start dreaming about Riley. Next day: I wake up feeling empty, like how i normally feel. But then i remember what's going on today and i hop out of bed. I immediately run the broken shower and grab a raggedy towel. 10 minutes later: i get out of the shower and rap the towel around my body. i brush my teeth, then i head to my room to pick out an outfit. I need to wear something fancy, im going to a castle.

I put on my new expensive clothes and as i wait for the carriage, i sit at the dining table with my grandmother. "Good morning grandma!" I say smiling. " Good morning Sunshine! How did you sleep! Are you excited to meet with the prince?" " I slept great! And of course I am." " You look very well put together! I promise i will be fine for a few weeks. Go get to meet your husband!" I blush just hearing that word. Am i really ready to be a wife? Suddenly, i hear horses outside. It must be Riley. " Is that him? Well i will see you soon, granddaughter!" My grandmother says kissing my cheek. I open the door and walk outside to see a very well put together man wearing this......

Finally, he's wearing something normal. I wave to Riley as he gets out to open the door for me. I say "thank you!" And got in. "Well hello love, you look fabulous today." He says starring at me. Love. He called me love. Im sure he knows what he's doing after he said that. " Well you don't look so bad yourself.....lover boy." Two can play that game. He blushes and kisses my hand. Riley's POV:
I blush, as she calls me lover boy. I kiss her hand as i see her little smile. I can't help but fall in love with her, every time I see her. She's perfect. I tell the horses to go, as we stare at each other, in astonishment. 1 hour later: It takes about an hour to get there, but to us, it only felt like a minute. Maybe it was because we were both falling in love with each other again or maybe we were just injoying each other's company. As we got out, i open her door and help her walk up the giant stairs of the castle. As soon as we walk to the top of the stairs, the guards searched her for weapons. After she got patted down, my parents and my little brother stand in front of us. " Why hello Mrs. and Mr. Brook!" She says being sarcastic. "Little Brook!" She says referring to my little brother. They just stare at her. My mother keeps whispering into my dad's ear. "Okay, well im going to show our guest here to her room." I say breaking the silence. "Come on Sage!" I grab her hand and walk pass them. Then i hear my mother mumble to herself " she's ugly compared to the last one." I drop Sage's hand and turn around slowly. "What are you looking at, demon child?" She says with a smirk. "No, don't ever call her ugly again. i know you don't have you're glasses right now, but open your eyes. She's the most beautiful woman i have ever seen." I look at Sage, and she's smiling. I take her to her room. She's still smiling. God i love her smile. Without warning, she stands on her tippy toes and kisses me. It caught me off guard, but i kissed her back. " Y'know, i could have done that myself. Also you called me beautiful. What a simp. But its fine, i like simps." She says hugging me. " Do you want to go shopping? There's some good malls around here?" I want her to be happy here. No matter what my parents say, I'm winning at life. Also, what the hell is a simp?
