The walk to the testing room had been silent the whole way. Neither Mason nor Matthew said a word to each other or myself. I only hummed silently to myself, a slight bounce in my step as we got closer. The gaurd greeted me as always outside the room, saying that Patch is seating and waiting. I thanked him for his work and waved him off. He gave a nod to the D-class and headed off to his next assignment. I turned to the boys and saw the concerned looks on them."Okay, now I really want to k ow what in hell is going on. Why the hell did he leave? Ain't they supposed to be with researchers all the time during testing?" Matthew demanded.
"On that matter, why was there only one of them here?" Mason questioned, more calm.
"Because I only need one, his is the only one I trust, and they ain't needed here. This SCP is a safe class and shall be taking care of your injures," I calmly said, looking at the files. "The supplies I made you both get should have been enough to say as much. Haaa, looks like I was wrong to assume you would know this one."
"Hey! Safe class barely means shit on this place!" Matthew shouted. "Even with that classification, it still has the potential of hurting you!"
Mason nodded in agreement, letting him be the talker for this one.
"You've got three seconds to explain yourself or so help me-! Gah!" Matthew soon gasped as I held me pistol to his nose.
Letting out a long sigh, I said, "Look, I only really need one of you for this test. That being said, I only need Mason for this. I could kill you now or make you head back to your cell. It won't make any difference to me. Thou, I'd rather have you so I can make sure all goes fine and dandy. It would be in your best interest to not get on my bad side. So make your choice: die now/later or cooperate with me and you'll be better in the long run."
Matthew glared to me, staring straight into my eyes. Not breaking eye contract or blinking much.
I believe a small part of him hoped I'd back down and call me out for making a bluff. I only stared him back, not breaking contacted and gave my empty eyes. No emotion, no sign of backing and meaning every word I told him. He soon grunted, turning his head and muttered something under his breath.
With a happy face, I said, "Good. Glad we came to an agreement. Let's get done and out of here soon. It's getting near the lunch hour."
Matthew only followed into the room and Mason just stayed quiet. Not wanting to make this problem go on any further. Pretty sure I scared the crap out of him. Oh well, it made my job all the easier to do really.
Inside, I went to the observation desk in front of the one-way glass. I made a double check that everything had been set up properly before having Matthew go through to the testing room. As I marked down what was there and muttered to myself, Mason had spoken up.
"Is that the 'doctor' you were talking about?" he asked, looking into the testing room stunned.
Matthew had the same look before looking to me as I sat down. He wanted to say something but just stared into the room.
Patch sat calmly on the table set for him. A hospital bed not far from him either, neat and ready to use. I did giggle a bit seeing he had on the little white coat I got him. It felt silly walking into a Build-A-Bear to buy it. Thou, I was lucky to have seen it while getting a gift for one of my nieces. Made me feel like a kid again playing with my toys.
"Yes, that is and is, of course, the SCP we shall be handling. Matthew, please walk into the room with all the supplies and seat on the bed. It shouldn't take too long for SCP-2295 to become active," I told him.
