(Izuku Yagi's POV)

"I see... You can call me— All For One," the mysterious man said.

I couldn't even stand when he found me lying on my stomach, half-dead. Despair and guilt were seeping into my broken soul. Even in the rain, my throat was dry, and my eyes lacked any more tears. The rainwater started washing away all the blood and dust everywhere. Regardless of everything, that man still held out a hand for me when I was helpless.

But all I could think about at that moment was— why? Why did things end up like this? I-It was just like any other day, and a-all we did was buy some clothes. So why? Or rather, who did this. There is no possible cause for people getting violent all at the same time unless done by someone or something powerful.

Still, what would anyone gain from such a thing? So many people died because of this catastrophe. Oh, Gods, I don't even know if Izumi is alive since— that man took her away.

I didn't even realize another tear fell as this "All For One" person patted my head. "No one came to save you, huh? It's fine. I'm here for you. This tragedy only happened because of the incompetence of the heroes."

"It... It wasn't the heroes' fault. Someone did this. The only reason I can think of why those—" I coughed heavily. "...people went berserk is if... someone started this... I promise that whoever did this, I will find them."

"What a clever boy. Even in a situation like this, you can still observe, analyze, and conclude— quite accurately, I might add." The man chuckled lightly. "A natural-born genius as I would expect. Mature even at a young age."

"Getting bullied my whole life for... y'know, something I couldn't control... helps with that," I spat, furrowing my eyebrows.

All For One-san took a deep breath and examined me— though I don't know if he could even see with his mask. "It seems as though you are close to death's door. Grave wounds and a state of complete exhaustion. Unfortunately, ambulances won't be here for a while since the heroes are still preoccupied with the mad civilians."

"I see... Honestly, I even can't feel anything anymore..." I said quietly with closed eyes, almost falling into a slumber— perhaps indefinitely.

"Open your eyes. My progeny has no right to surrender." All For One-san righted my position, laying me on my back as I looked at the still raining sky. "Listen, young one, the only way for you to walk out of this place alive is to take something away from me."

My gaze drifted toward the blurred figure of the man. "What do you... mean by that?"

"I was supposed to give that Quirk to that Nomu, but seeing the state you are in... I have a Quirk called 'Super Regeneration,' and I want you to take it away from me using yours."

"I don't have a Quirk, unfortunately," I whispered bitterly. "Even if I did, there's no such Quirk that... takes another's away..."

"The possibilities of Quirks are boundless. And you? Without a Quirk? With my genes? Doubtful. Never accept anything as it appears to be, little one. Dare to see it for what it could be," he stated while hovering his hand over me.
