Part 4: Hidden Dungeon
────────────────────────One week had passed. The second circle of Neorasia was designed for training. The floating islands served as different types of training ground while the land below them are filled with all sorts of rare herbs and minerals.
If he were to describe it in one word, Chassid's training was hellish. On the second day, Straynoodle made him jump from one of the islands and if he failed to control the wind, he will die. He made him do it for one hundred times. He can still recall how much he wanted to give up that time. He didn't see the results right away and it was frustrating.
The third day, he was forced to fight Straynoodle without moving an inch. He had to use his ultimate skill only.
"From now on, we will do this until you make my HP drop to 10% and yours are still 100%," Straynoodle said. At the back of his mind, he was asking himself if he's doing this right.
Today it was the same. Chassid's description of his training shifted from hellish to boring. He was thinking of logging out when Straynoodle wasn't looking. However, he threatened to kill him once he logged back again. So, he's stuck.
"Do you want to stop the training?"
For a moment, his question sounded so good in Chassid's ears but a second later, he was stuck, yet again, in another dilemma.
Reminiscing the scenes from the past week, he came to a decision. "I give up."
Straynoodle nodded his head several times as if he already expected to hear this from him. "Just as I thought. Words without action."
"Sorry."
"The perfect moment to apologize indeed. At least, you learned something haha!" He gave him two thumbs up.
Chassid logged out and left the disappointed Straynoodle.
When he took off the PulseGear, he felt something was missing. It was a lot more difficult to breathe and his room is so cold.
With his blurry vision, he can see a man staring down at him. "D-Dad, what's happening?"
"I dis-ted-wire."
Chassid can't hear it clearly but it was enough for him to understand what's happening. He disconnected the wire.
The duke left him and didn't appear for two days.
He took rapid breaths. Chassid's eyes are empty and opening it took so much of his energy. A static noise was clogging his head. He can't move any part of his body. It's a miracle he survived for two days without the machine and food.
'The world left me.'
As if to prove him wrong, a thud resounded from the balcony. Reyo came dashing toward Chassid. His voice was unclear and distant but he's shouting.
He checked Chassid's pulse. He gasped when he felt how faint it was. That was the last thing Chassid knew before losing his consciousness.
The green lights slithered and formed a familiar word. Only this time, he was seeing it above him.
"Reyo?"
Armppourg was empty. There was no vertical lights like the last time he was here.
He heard a familiar voice. Chassid ran towards it. It's far from him. He eventually felt his body shaking and his eyes opened.
"Chassid... Chassid..."
The voice became clearer and his vision adjusted. The place isn't familiar to him. The blue ceiling and the family picture hanging on the wall does not include him and his father.
