Chapter 1: Pilot

Beeep*beeep*beeep*BEEEEP*

I woke up to find my sister Acadia standing in the door frame mimicking the sound of my alarm. I sat up and was going to give her a mouthful of my two senses but, I was cut off by my normal alarm and practically threw myself off of my bed into the floor.

"WoW you truly are a pussy, maybe your familiar should have been a cat instead of a snake," Acadia said eyeballing my snake Hekate.

"Hey you leave her out of this, this fight is between me and you like why the hell did you come and wake me up 30 seconds before my alarm, that 30 seconds was key to my beauty sleep," I said standing up and adjusting my clothes. I was going to keep ranting but before I could she walked out shutting the door. I went and got dressed, it was the first day of school so I decided I should at least dress up to a certain degree. I open my closet and see the chaotically organized piles of clothes and find my black shortcut overalls with a blue and black tie-dye shirt accompanied by my black doc martins. Once I'm finished getting dressed I go to the bathroom and fix my hair, clean my face and brush my teeth. As I'm admiring myself in the mirror I heard Acadia yelling

" hurry the hell up ajry we are leaving in T-minus negative 6 seconds evacuate the house now, YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE" she yells so dramatically that Shakespeare himself rolled over in his grave.

"don't get your thong in a twist I'm heading to the car now" I responded as I grab my bag and tell my room goodbye.

Me and Acadia made our way to the car and started to drive off, we don't necessarily have to have a conversation with each other cause both of us like the quiet but she interrupts the peace.

"So are you nervous about starting in a new school, the people here might be different than your last school it is smaller so you are more likely to stick out? like your outfit says I dare someone to try me cause I will stomp you with these boots" she questions. I know she doesn't mean anything by this statement she is just mentally preparing me for what this school will be like.

" I think I will be fine, I know how to stand my own, I know my worth and I dare a bitch to test me cause I will donkey kick them into next Thursday if I have to " I respond hopefully making her less worried about me and it works she begins to laugh.

" I'm just worried you know as mom trusted me to take care of you after... you know what happened to dad and I just want to take care of you, Seth thinks you are going to do great cause of your outgoing personality but I know how your anxiety functions so if you ever get overwhelmed text me clammed chowder and I will come and get you" she says as she grips the steering wheel tighter as if it's releasing her stress.

Now it's my turn to calm her down, I grab my vape out do my pocket and offer her a hit and she accepts and takes a big drag " see you already are a lot less stressed besides a new school is full of new opportunities and while yes this school is smaller and might not except me or my practices, I could care less on what other people think. As long as I got you, me, and my dignity then I'm all set" I say as she is coughing out her lung.

" okay as long as you say you are okay, I'm okay and what dignity do you have, it's like your relationship status... dry and crippling" she replies back after her cough attack.

When we pull up to the school I get out and close the door to Acadia's car and begin to head towards the entryway, I stop for a moment when I see a group of kids out near the back of the parking lot. I try to get a better look but I give up cause my vision is completely crap. As I Head to the school door I pull out my phone and see it's only 7:45, from the email The school sent me of my schedule my class doesn't start until 8:05, so to kill the time I sat down in the lobby and scrolled through tik tok until I got this spine chill to look to my right. When I looked over I see 3 girls talking in a group with the one in the middle looking right at me. The girl in the middle has purple hair, the one to the left has short black hair with bangs and the one on the right has shoulder-length brown hair that fades to blue at the bottom. Starring has never bothered me, so I just put in my AirPods and start playing my favorite music since class starts soon.
