"It's cool

"It's cool. I'm 'bouta lock yo ass up." Amazi laughed, stepping back to let his dad make an easy shot in the basketball goal.

"Lock who up young bull? Ah, ah, watch this." He crossed around the back of Amazi, making yet another shot.

"Whoop his ass Azi!" Faye cheered her husband on from the sidelines, making both men laugh.

"Ma I gave that to him! Let me stop playin' and gon' and whoop yo ass." Amazi stole the ball from his dad, dribbling it between his legs before making a shot from the back of the court.

Azi laughed as his son pretended to juke him, stepping back to make another basket, and then he caught his rebound and made a second shot.

"Fucking show off!" Azi wiped his face with his shirt, and Amazi laughed, chest passing the ball to him.

It was currently around noon on a sunny Monday, and Amazi had decided to spend the day with his parents until it was time for him to go to work. Somehow he ended up being gambled into a basketball game with his dad that was worth $1,000.

Amazi knew that he could win against his old man easily, but he just enjoyed spending time with him so he was contemporarily prolonging the game.

"Shit boy. I'm about to pass out, gimme a gotdamn second." Azi waved his son off while fanning himself, lightly panting.

It was surprisingly hot today, expecting to hit the late 90°s, and considering the fact that spring was just ending in New York, it was pretty hot.

"Just gone and sit yo old ass down A. I don't want you to embarrass me." Faye shook her head, currently solving a word puzzle in the newspaper she'd gotten in the mail.

"You get yo bad back ass out there and play that big son of a bitch then." Azi bucked at her, and Amazi laughed as the two of them began bickering.

Amazi loved his parents more than anything else in the world. Being able to live in a stable household while growing up was truly a blessing, and he had never took it for granted.

He was able to watch his dad love his mom as a child, up until he was past being a grown man. Of course they had trials and tribulations just like every other couple, but they remained strong and helped each other maneuver into maturity and growth.

Azi and Faye had that old school type of love, as if they hadn't been married for the last thirty years. That was the love Amazi aspired to have-after all, it was all that he was surrounded with while growing up.

It seemed like the two never got tired of one another, no matter how much time they spent together-which was a lot. They couldn't be away from the other for long, even though they jokingly bickered most of the time. It was beautiful to witness their love continue to grow.
