Previously:"This was something my parents warned me about"

I was startled by the stranger infront of me. I haven't seen anyone else in these woods for most of my life. Well obviously I've seen people, that being my parents and Jocelyn but never anyone else. My mother had warned me about people. They didn't like others who were different.

The man looked at me with eyes full of curiosity.

"How did you do that?" His voice was deep and laced with confusion.

I was a little scared not gonna lie. I quickly stood up and backed away slowly. I thought about something to say but nothing entered my mind at the time.

"I don't know I just did it." I answered truthfully. I had always been able to do things. Mum said it was a gift. More like a curse but okay.

The Man raised his brow before two other men appeared.
The shorter one whispered in his ear before they all looked back at me.

I didn't like this at all.

The Man walked towards me and grabbed me by the forearms while dragging me with him.

"What the hell dude!?" I said with my voice a little raised. He did not just grab me like it was nothing. I was quite upset by his ugly manners.

I struggled in his grip and the next thing the guy was flung into a tree.

I mean -
Oops I guess but serves him right for grabbing me like that.

I knew that was because of me but at this moment I didn't have time to feel sorry so I ran.

My chest burned and my feet ached. Gosh I was unfit. I was quite scared to stop running so I carried on until I saw the view of my house.

I rushed the door open and immediately locked the door.

I sunk to my knees infront of the door as I tried to catch my breath. This must've awoken Jocelyn because she came running like a weirdo with the huge tree branch she keeps under her bed.

"Ali? Were you outside? What happened?" I heard her asking but I couldn't focus on that because in that same moment, just as she had finished her sentence we heard a howl echoing through the woods outside followed by a few more.

Jocelyn gave me some sort of knowing look before she rushed of closing the Windows while I literally stood there completely confused and scared. God I hated feeling like this.

Just as she was about to close another window a knock at the door stopped her.

"Alison, Hide."she whispered before I ran to my room and locked the door.

I heard the front door being slammed open which made me regret leaving Jocelyn alone there.

Not even a minute later I heard that man's voice and Jocelyn shouting. Footsteps made their way towards the room door.

I panicked and grabbed the only thing near me..

A damn shoe.

What was this gonna help me with. I mean it's better than nothing I guess.

A few moments of silence passed while I was gripping this shoe for dear life, when suddenly the door clicked open.

What the hell, didn't I lock the damn thing?

First thing I saw was vibrant green eyes followed by the strangely familiar face from the woods.

That Man again.

His features were a bit more clear now.

He had wavy dark brown hair and the most prettiest green eyes ever. A few freckles covered his cheeks and nose.

Before I could look longer he spoke.

"Did you really think you'd get away that fast? I'm quite impressed with what you did there but you've kinda dug a deeper hole for yourself, love." He said.

I didn't answer but instead I threw the shoe at him. Which
Surprise suprise, did absolutely nothing. He looked completely shocked tho. I guess this dude was never thrown with a shoe.

I tried using my abilities to knock him over so I could get out but this stupid shit wasn't working when I needed it the most.

He sprung forward and got a hold of my wrists.

I struggled against him for a while but this guy had some inhuman grip on me. Yup definitely gonna bruise.
He yanked me up and dragged me back outside where my eyes met with Jocelyn's.

The two other men that I saw earlier were holding her.

What did these people even want. Like damn with these ugly manners just grabbing people, they're gonna get nowhere.

These guys certainly didn't react well to what they saw in the forest. What if they foud out what happened to my parents they would surely kill me on the spot.

"Now, here's what's going to happen.
Both of you will be going with us."One of them spoke up
" I don't know what abilities you possess but it certainly seems like a danger."

I frowned. Why did we have to go with them, especially Jocelyn. She did absolutely nothing. Yet I always seem to cause trouble for others.

I somehow have to get Jocelyn out of this. I knew I had to use the 'gift'I had but I didn't want to..

Not when it ended up badly last time. I knew I had to though, to at least get Jocelyn's away from this situation. My goal right now is to get her away even if that means I can't get away.

While the men were blabbering amongst themselves I tried focusing on my feet while mustering up all the energy I had left.

When the men suddenly fell to their knees holding their heads in pain, I knew it was working.

"Jocelyn, go now" I whispered while I could feel the last of my energy dripping and the control I had slipping away. But when I looked up Jocelyn was gone.

I was confused, for a human could never disappear that quickly.

I looked back at the men on the ground. I almost felt bad for them, but then again serves them right for their ugly manners.

With the last of my energy I took slow steps towards the path leading right. I knew they could easily get me again but I would feel like a loser if I just sat there and waited for them to take me.

My body hurt all over and my head was throbbing.

I just made it far enough when I felt a arms wrap around me harshly pinning me to a tree.

Great just great.
Couldn't luck be on my side for once.

"You didn't think you could actually get away like that did you?" The green eyed man spat.

"Obviously not, but did you really think I'd just sit there.?" I said scowling at the man. He was getting on my nerves now. Yet he scared me shitless cause of how fast he recovered after that. He definitely couldn't be human.

"What's your name?" the man then asked

I kept my mouth shut not wanting to speak to this dude.

His grip on my shoulders tightened. Crap that hurts

"Alison, and yours? " I whispered whincing from the discomfort in my shoulders.

"Luca"

So the rude jerk that grabs people has a name now. I thought but then a quiestion popped up in my mind.

"What exactly are you?" I dared asking

He gave me a weird look before loosening his grip a little but still firmly keeping me in place.

"Something you should be terrified of.."
