"Lincoln pack your bags, we're all waiting for you."
I packed my bags faster, just not to hear my mother rush me again. I don't know why she constantly takes us on these trips, I mean I enjoy them but sometimes it gets overwhelming having to pack like every other week. The vacations are even cutting into my school time, and it's bringing my grades down farther then they already were.
I bring my bags downstairs and Liam packs them into the trunk of the car. "Where are we going?"
"Well it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, now would it?"
My mother shoots me a gleaming smile, and walks out to the car. I follow behind her and sit in the backseat. I was hoping this vacation would end quickly so I could make some sort of attempt to pass my classes, and overall be left alone to my freewill in my room.
"You ready, for an awesome vacation?" Liam said resting his arm on the top half of the car. "If it goes by quickly, then sure."
"C'mon, lighten up a little. Mom does a lot to take us on these trips. Show a little gratitude."
I sighed looking at my phone, who even takes someone on a trip at 7:00 in the morning anyways? Half of the trips she takes us on isn't even that long of a drive.
"Everyone ready? Lincoln where's Liam?"
"I don't know? Maybe in the house?"
My father sighs and heads back in the house. I could tell I wasn't making this easy for them but I seriously didn't know where he was. Soon dad found Liam and we were finally ready to leave, I just stared at my phone or out the window to make the time pass by quicker.
About an hour or so we arrived at this big building and my mother gestures me to get out the car but I can't help having this uneasy feeling.
"This is the hotel, we thought you might like it Lincoln."
My brother smiles at me as he leads the way into the building. Inside there are a bunch of people dressed in these weird scrubs and people in gowns I was seriously confused on what hotel we could possibly be at. We walked up to the front desk where my mother began checking us in.
"Are you here for Lincoln Walters?"
My mother nodded her head and I shot the lady a weird look, but my family just kept smiling.
"Please sign here for me, and you should be all ready to go."
My mother and brother looked at me while my father was putting down all of this information, their smiles had faded and all was left was a sad, worried expression.
"Lincoln, you know we love you right? And that everything we do is out of live for you...right?" My father now turned to me as a lady came with a gown and took my bags "Lincoln..we hope you can forgive up for what we are going to do."
I slowly backed away from them, are they serious? There's no way they brought me to a mental asylum! My brother grabbed my shoulders pushing me towards the ladies. I turned around to look at my family...or should I even call them that? No family would do one another like this.
"I should've known...this was never a vacation, huh? I will NEVER forgive you, no matter what you try...you will be nothing but a piece of shit on my feet."
"Lincoln, but we are family-"
"YOU ARE NO FAMILY TO ME! WHAT FAMILY DOES THIS TO THEIR OWN SON?!"
They had called for a older and stronger man to hold me Incase I tried anything. The people walked me down the hall and to my room, I could hear my mother yell she loved me but why should I care?
