chapter 3.5 (mini chapter)

(this does not take place in what is happening in the story currently! This chapter is just for those who have waited so long for another chapter!)

NC Pov:

I was crawling in the vents looking in different rooms to try and find more humans to infect and make them my henchmen/goons/"Minions".

I looked down into a room and noticed Sprinklekit sitting down in a corner sorta just relaxing. I opened the Vent door quietly and jumped down.

Sprinklekit not yet noticing me first second was an obvious sign they were tired.

I patted their shoulder and they snapped out of thought or just maybe tiredness and looked at me

"Oh... Uhm hi Nightcrawler."

"Hello Sprinkle, are you tired because of work?"

Sprinkle shook their head and yawned quietly

"No-.. I just--- was protecting mochi. They tried fighting a human with a scythe and got hurt badly, but luckily the humans scythe broke within two hits and ran away. But it tired me out since I don't usually go after humans, especially during work hours."

I hummed in response and sat down next to Sprinklekit and pulled them closer to me, Sensing that sprinklekit was surprised by this action.

"Rest. I'll protect you from humans if they even bother attacking us."

Sprinklekit hummed in response as I watched them lay their head on my shoulder and drift off into deep sleep

I smiled and layed my head on theirs.

"I'll make sure you get the rest you need  sprinkle, don't worry."

I pat sprinklekits head a little bit and hear them purr quietly.

I smile softly and continue to pet their head, and wrap my tail around them acting as a blanket.

I kiss sprinklekits forehead lightly

"...I love you."
