Today is the Fourth of July. And I genuinely hate it. Not about the holiday but the loud fireworks. Loud noises like that scare me especially since they would like fireworks. Ever since I was little I wasn't a big fan of fireworks.

Fireworks start at 9:30pm and it's currently 9:00pm so I'm mentally preparing myself for the fireworks to start. There have been random ones that have been going off all day here and there but they are all gonna be at once and I hate it.

I'm in my room pacing back and fourth biting my nails. I'm really nervous cause I know I'm going to get scared.

As I'm in my little daze I hear someone knock on my bedroom door I stop mid pace and open the door. As I open the door I see it's Marcus.

"Oh hey Marcus" I say kind of low.

"Hey y/n/n. You okay?." He says kind of slowly going to lay on my bed facing me.

He knows that I hate fireworks ever since I was at his house a few years ago on the Fourth of July and had a nervous breakdown in his arms. Not my proudest moment of you would ask me. Very embarrassing.

"Not really." I say starting to pace again.

"Well I figured that. Anyway I order Chinese here and it'll be here soon and I figured we could watch a movie since I know you hate fireworks" he says smiling at me.

"No, no, Marcus it's fine go watch the fireworks with your family I'm okay." I say to him. I knew that he knows I'm lying he somehow can just always tell when I'm lying.

He then gets up and grabs my arms in front of me to stop me from pacing. "You are clearly not okay and trust me it's fine I don't wanna be around them right now anyway." He says to me.

"Hey trust me it's okay I want to be here with you i have a whole lifetime to watch the fireworks but right now I wanna be here with you." He says

I then relax from my tensed up state. "Thank you so much Marcus" I say then I wrap my arks around his neck and his arms go to my waist.

"Of course my love." He said to me.

Forgot to mention we have sort of a weird relationship we do couply things around our friends, and family but we never really made anything official.

Anyways it's now 9:15pm and the Chinese just got here and Marcus goes to sit it on my desk.

"Okay so grab whatever you want from in there and I'm gonna start a movie." He told me as he grabs my remote.

"What movie are we gonna watch?" I ask him.

"Well it's an anime movie called 'A silent voice' and I think you would like it." He says as he puts it on.

"That sounds cool." I say as I bring the food to my bed and we both sit down. My parents aren't home because they took my little sister to see the fireworks at the top of some parking garage. so he turns the volume all the way up so it would drown out the sound of the fireworks.

After we eat we are laying down underneath the covers we are halfway through the movie the lights are off and my lamp is on that is on my bedside table.

I have my hand and head slightly on his chest but off enough so I can still see my tv and my leg is overtop his legs.

He has his one arm around my shoulder slightly stroking it so I stay calmed and his other hand is on my waist.

I then began to drift off but before I do I ask him something. When I'm really tired I literally get confidence to where I can say or ask anything.

"Hey Marcus." I say in a groggy voice.

"Hmm?" He says back his eyes fixated on the tv. He also looks and sounds tired.

"Can we be a thing? I mean we basically do everything as a couple but we just don't have any labels." I say to him as I move my head from his chest to his shoulder looking up at him.

He looks at me surprised but happy. "I thought you would never ask mi Amor." He says as he leans down and kisses me. It's a calm kiss nothing too serious since we are both tired and want to sleep.

"Good" I say as I smile and put my head back on his chest and cuddle into him more.

About an hour later we are asleep and I hear the door open "hey y/n-" I hear my sister say

"Oops never mind." She says quietly I hear her take a picture but I'm too tired to fight her right now plus I can make this my Lock Screen.

"You know I've always liked that baker boy hunny." I hear my mom say to my dad.

"Me too he's sucky a gentleman" my dad says back. They then come into my room and shut my lamp off. That's when I fell completely asleep. I'm
