Kyungsoo should've been ecstatic. But once the news of Taemin leaving reached his ears, he felt nothing but guilt. Its been a week since, yet Jongin continued to show up for work, looking miserable. Kyungsoo had tried to cheer him up, but Jongin merely brushed him aside and settled for quietly doing his work.

It hurt.

But Kyungsoo doesn't dare say anything. He doesn't dare complain. Jongin was hurting, and it was his fault. Maybe not entirely, but he played a large role in the lovers' downfall. Then he muses, what if it was indeed his fault? If only he hadn't met Jongin that night, if only he didn't invite him to his home. If only he didn't kiss him. If only they didn't sleep together.

If, if. So may possibilities.

Jongin is static. He feels as if he's constantly in a daze, just floating by life. He feels empty- like he lost all meaning; barely functioning since Taemin left.

Taemin.

Night after night, his face haunts Jongin's dreams.

It's almost been a week, but to Jongin it seemed like an eternity. He had been avoiding Kyungsoo like the plague, realizing that it was better off that way. Jongin knows he's hurting Kyungsoo, but he couldn't- wouldn't do anything to ease the pain. Every time he thinks of even approaching Kyungsoo, guilt would eat him up, sending him running away from the man he used to hold so tenderly.

Jongin feels lonely these days. He dreads going back to the place that was once 'home'- the place he once considered his safe haven, his paradise. But it was no longer home.

Taemin was his home.

But Jongin was easily swayed. He was too caught up in pleasure, in the thrill of reigniting the old flame that once burned so brightly. Jongin gave in to temptation too easily. And because of that weakness, he drove away the only person who gave him a sense of security, the person who had been there to pick up the broken pieces that Kyungsoo left behind.

Jongin had destroyed that home.

Days that passed was pure hell. At least, that's what Taemin felt. He moped around the first two days. Eventually, Key got fed up and dragged him out for shopping at the mall.

"You need to stop acting like some fucking damsel in distress," Key looked irritated as he spoke, "Quit mulling over some retarded jackass who clearly takes you for granted! Just accept the fact that he doesn't give shit about you!"

His words hurt, but Taemin couldn't deny the truth and sincerity in Key's voice. Taemin couldn't stop the tear that slipped from his eye. Quickly, he wiped it away. Key softened a bit, seeing his distressed friend made his heart ache. Nonetheless, he gathered the boy in his arms and kissed his forehead tenderly.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, "That was uncalled for. I'm so sorry, baby boy."

Taemin only sniffled, face buried on Key's chest. The older immediately regrets his harsh words, gently patting the boy's head affectionately.

"I'm so sorry."
