Bella gets out of her truck with the intention of entering her house, but realises that her partner is near the forest, looking at her. The brown-haired girl frowns, confused by seeing him with the same clothes that he used at her party.
-Hi. - She smiles until realising that Edward keeps his look down.
-Come and take a walk with me. - He says, giving Bella half a smile.
Confused, she starts following him, entering the forest. They arrive at a point in which Edward stops on his tracks and looks back at her.
-We have to leave Forks. - The vampire explains to which the girl looks at him, confused.
-Why? - Bella asks, taking a step towards him.
-Carlisle is supposed to be ten years older than he looks. People are starting to notice. - Edward says, inserting his hands in his pockets.
-Okay... I've got to think of something to say to Charlie. - Bella explains, thinking about an excuse for her father. She realises how Edward looks down so she frowns, confused. - You said 'we'? - She asks.
-I mean my family and myself. - Edward finally reveals.
-Edward, what happened with Jasper... It's nothing. - Bella explains.
-You're right. It was nothing. Nothing but what I always expected. - Edward admits. - And nothing compared to what could have happened.
They both stay silent for a moment before he speaks up again.
-You just don't belong in my world, Bella. - The copper-haired boy affirms, without knowing Bella's heart breaks slowly.
-No. I belong with you. - Bella affirms, without making the pain in her voice noticable.
-No, you don't. - Edward replies.
-I'm coming. - Bella states, taking another step towards him, but he takes a step back.
-Bella, I don't want you to come. - Edward explains, his face expressionless.
-You don't... love me anymore? - The brown-haired girl asks fearfully
-I've never loved you, Bella. - The human feels how her eyes fill with tears but doesn't look away.
-That... that changes everything. - Bella whispers with a broken voice.
-But if it's not too much to ask, can you just promise me something? - Bella starts shaking her head, not believing Edward's words. - Don't do anything reckless. For Charlie's sake. And I'll promise something to you in return. This is the last time you'll ever see me. I won't come back. And you can go on with your life without any interference from me... It'll be like as if never existed, I promise.
