Cake was so excited to see everything in the nameless town. But, he did feel sorry for Pie and their father, and how the two must be so worried about Cake... he began to miss both of them. It hurt Cake, but not enough for him to go back yet. He had just gotten to the nameless town, and he was very happy. He had already met someone who lived there, he didn't like her that much. However, she was nice to him, she was just a bit rowdy. Her name was Ruby. Apparently, she now had a wife named Flower. Cake began to look for Ruby, and saw her sitting on a bench. She agreed to show him around, and the two grew closer as friends, even if Cake denied it to every single stranger he met.

Eventually, Ruby introduced Cake to Flower. This was a mistake. She was polite to Cake when talking to his face, but as soon as she thought he couldn't hear her, she said VERY rude things about him.
"Why is he wearing a dress, Ruby? Doesn't he know that he's a guy?"
"Yes, he knows. But he should wear whatever he wants to. Clothing doesn't define a person."
Ruby was standing up for Cake, but he was still hurt. He now considered going back home, to the loving embrace of his sister and his father. He missed them SO much now...

But he still wouldn't go back. He wanted to see everything here, and one single person couldn't convince him otherwise. He wouldn't let Flower's words get to him. He was determined that if Ruby could find someone to love here, so could he. He kept walking around the town, before a voice behind him said, "Hey! Are you new here? I've never seen you before."
