Chapter One

"EUNICE GISING NA, mataas na ang sikat ng araw"

"Just ten more minutes Nana"

"Bahala ka jan, nasa baba sila Madam at Sir kararating lang." Like an electrified chicken, Eunice immediately stand up when she heard what Nana said.

"What!! What are they doing here Nana, diba dapat next week pa sila uuwi" She said while climbing down her bed, going directly into her vanity to fix herself. 'Shit' she uttered when she saw herself looking like a mess.

"Yun rin nga ikinabigla ko, tapos Eunice si Sir pala hinahanap ka."

"Nana, ako na jan, just go downstairs and prepare breakfast." She said stopping Nana at what she was doing and then dragging her out of the room. "Tapos sabihin mo na susunod lang ako kasi I'm still taking a shower."

"Ikaw na bata ka, mayroon ka na namang bagong issue no?" Huminto ang matanda sa pintuan at tinaasan siya ng kilay. "Hindi yan uuwi sila Sir at Madam ng biglaan at ng walang dahilan, lalo't na sobrang busy nila." Her eyes squinting at Eunice.

"Please Nana, help me out this time kasi pakiramdam ko mapapasabak ako ng world war three mamaya." She said displaying puppy cute eyes while clasping Nana's wrinkly hands.

"Ikaw talagang bata ka, sige at maligo ka na nga. Para maalis ang amoy ng alak sayo kasi pag yan na amoy ni Sir sigurado akong hindi ka pa nakakasubo, sira na naman agad araw mo." patawang sabi ng matanda but all of what she just said right now is true.

If Eunice goes down there smelling like alcohol, plus she's sure that they already know what happened last night. Siguradong maghahalo ang balat sa tinalupan. But going down there pristine and looking pure will at least lessen the tense atmosphere that is building inside her head.

"MORING DAD," Eunice kissed her father's cheek "Mom." Followed by her mother as she sits next to her.

Recently after cleaning and preparing herself before she got down the stairs. Wearing gray short shorts and a white tube top, she finds both of them at the dining table helping the maids prepare their breakfast.

A long stretch of silence surrounds them while having their meal, only sounds of utensils clacking, mouths chewing and water pouring into glasses envelop the three of them.

This type of silence coming from her parents is so unusual because supposedly by this exact moment, she should be receiving tons of sermons and scolding. And this man in front of her should be now transforming into a scary fuming mad dragon where smoke and fires should be coming out of his nostrils. But now the silence between the two is scaring her.

While Eunice is reaching for the salad, her mom broke the silence. "We saw it in one of those trending articles last night."

She didn't respond even though she know what her mom was referring to.

"And we already saw the video of how you slap that model's face" Her mom followed, shifting her gaze to her daughter. "So we finally decided."

"Decided what?" Eunice quickly turned left and immediately met the serious eyes of her mother.

"We decided that it's finally the right time you take a break from the spotlight." Her dad said in a humorless tone.

"What?!" Eunice drops her spoon.

"Yes, because in these recent months and years, you're always present in every gossip page, showbiz news, and rumor."

"Yes, but it's because of my success in this industry, and dad you know well that I'm a known personality that's why all of my haters are trying to---"she pauses "Wait are you two saying this because of what they said in those articles? I swear mom, dad, it is not my fault. That Clara girl is the one who---"
