"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU ESMÉ!" Theo said loudly
Esmé froze. "... What-?" she was shocked.
"I..I love you." Theo repeated before Esmé turned back around to see Theo's face almost as red as a strawberry. Esmé thought for a minute, wanting to run and jump straight into his arms, "I can't go through the pain of losing you again Theo." a single tear escaped from her eye as she turned around to leave. "Let me explain. I wanted to come back but it never seemed to be the right time. As much as I tried, things got in the way. please, give me one last chance?". Droplets crawled from both their eyes as Esmés walking began to slow, until she was at s stop, about 3 metres from Theo. She turn to face him but looked at the ground as all the tears she had been holding back escaped from her eyes. He walked to her, and as he hugged her they both dropped to their knees in tears. "Please stay." Theo pleaded "I need you." After a moment of silence, Esmé released a breath and agreed.
"I've missed you," they said in unison before laughing and heading back to the tree house, just like the old days.
