"So, again, what was your purpose for tying me up?" I lift an eyebrow at Basil and Nala, as they lead me to the intimidating entrance of the nameless establishment.

"Well, because we didn't know what you'd try to do, so you can say that we just took precautions." Basil answers.

"And you seriously thought that a zip-tie would hold me back?" I narrow my eyes at them both, while waiting on Nala to open the door with a code.

"Well...yeah." Basil nods truthfully, shrugging.

Staring flatly at him, I pull my hands in opposite directions, expanding the mass in the zip-tie, before it broke, falling to the ground. I didn't miss how Basil flinched, backing away from me a little bit.

"Guess you two wouldn't have been very safe." I tell him emotionlessly, as a beep sounds from the door.

Man, they were stupider, than I thought.

And for them to be running an organization is just insane to me, seeing as they thought that a zip-tie would keep me from attacking them, if I'd have lost it in that car.

No barrier, or additional drugs — but a fucking zip-tie.

How the hell did they run a school, again?

As I was led down a foyer by them both, the kids around me were using different kinds of powers, which freaked me out a bit.

A girl was with two guys who were laughing at presumably her, but they immediately shut up, when she pantsed one of them, without even lifting a finger.

Telekinesis.

Glad to know that I wasn't that clueless.

"This is the lounge, where all of the kids just hang out, chill, and do whatever they may." Nala tells me, gesturing to a group of laughing teens, shoving each other.

None of the other kids had noticed me yet, which kind of surprised me, considering we were out in the open. But I didn't really want people to see me, because then that meant questions that I didn't have the answers to, yet.

And I also didn't want to talk to any of them.

"And where we're taking you is a testing room." Basil speaks, as him and Nala now guide me down a more isolated hallway, with steel doors here and there.

"A testing room?" I question. "What exactly happens in there, besides the obvious?"

"One test for today." Nala smiles, stopping in front of a door with 837 painted in black on the shimmering door.

She then gestures for me to enter, in which I reluctantly comply.

Swallowing, I step into the room, wrapping my arms around myself from the frightening drop in temperature, and take in the padded space.

The door shuts loudly behind me, causing me to spin around, with wide-eyes.

Rushing to the door, I bang on it, screaming, "Don't leave me in here! Open the door!"
