Jihye and Felix had just put their last set of cookies in the oven, that they'd spent hours making. Basically, it was Felix teaching her how to bake since she clearly had no clue about it.
"When all of this gets over, you better give me baking lessons Lixie" She exclaimed excitedly, already looking forward to it.
"Sure! We'll bake new and different things together!" Felix replied back with a soft laugh.
Felix was like an angel, admired by everyone. He had this really positive aura that made anyone around him happy. That heartwarming smile of his could easily melt anyone. And so it was obvious that anyone around him would have an instant serotonin boost because of how pure he actually was.
The oven dinged, indicating that the cookies were now done. Jihye looked at Felix with an excited smile before rushing off to the oven.
"Lix, these look so delicious!" Her mouth watered at the mere sight of them. Felix chuckled as he looked at her child-like behaviour. Food definitely made Jihye happy.
Until now, Felix had only seen this tough, bold and always-on-alert side of Jihye so seeing her this excited over something where her eyes twinkled, was new for him, and rather everybody else in the house.
"Look at how excited you are" He commented.
He carefully took one cookie in his hands and lightly blew over it since it was still hot. Moving it towards Jihye's mouth, he waited in anticipation as she took a bite of the chocolate delight.
Her eyes grew big as she joined the tip of her index finger with her thumb, telling Felix how delicious the cookie tasted.
"Not gonna lie, this is probably the best cookie I've ever had"
Felix gave her a warm and shy smile, thanking her. He loved it when the others liked what he made. He loved seeing their happy smiles whenever they ate something he prepared.
It was as if the whole purpose of spending hours preparing something got fulfilled when he got good and honest compliments about his cooking.
Later that day, Minho and Jihye were working out together with the gym equipment they had available.
"How did you choose to become an SMF officer?" Minho asked Jihye, trying to strike up a conversation.
"I remember when I was around ten or eleven, I once went to a shooting arena with dad. You know where they teach you how to shoot on those targets and stuff. Dad's friend was an instructor there" She smiled fondly at the memory.
"I said I wanted to try so they handed me a gun and I shot pretty close to the bull's eye in my first set, which they said was impressive. My ego skyrocketed at that and I asked my dad to enroll me there, to which he said that it's only allowed to train with guns if I become an officer"
"And so you went for SMF?" Minho asked, impressed at how specific Jihye was with her dreams.
"No like- I did my research and realised being a police officer required a lot of studying, something I hated- Plus I wanted to be something cool"
"Understandable. You sure are cool" Minho chuckled at her honesty as she smiled back at him cheekily.
"What about you?"
"My dad was a cop, and my idol. So I knew I wanted to be like him" He concluded in one sentence as Jihye looked at him in admiration.

"Psst Hyung! Channie hyung!" Hyunjin whisper-called for the elder guy for the nth time now.
"What? What do you want?" Chan answered, slightly frustrated at how Hyunjin wouldn't shut up about the one thing he's been repeating since morning.
"Why won't you tell her!?" He said in a low voice, as if trying to prevent the others from hearing him although he was clearly audible enough.
"This is not the appropriate time or situation Hyun! We're in an apocalypse!" He made his point, mentally regretting telling Hyunjin his little 'secret'.
"Okay when would you then? After all of us end up dying? We don't even know if we'll survive" Hyunjin wasn't wrong either.
"But-"
"Hyung, don't lose your chance while you still have one. We don't even know what the future beholds"
"Ugh I hate to admit but you're right" Chan heaved a sigh. "Okay I'll give it a shot then" He added.

"Chae?" Chan knocked on her room's door.
"Come in" Said her voice from inside as Chan took a deep breath in and entered inside.
"Are you busy right now? I had to talk about something" He asked.
"What's up? Come, sit here" She shifted a little to give him some space beside her on the bed.
"Yeah I- how are you?" He asked, rubbing his neck, as if nervous about something.
"I'm fine Chan, are you okay? Your ears are all red" Chaewon chuckled.
"Yes! Yes I'm perfectly fine" He replied, covering his ears with his hands and sitting beside her.
"You know what, I had a dream today. It was so beautiful! Like it was spring season and the world was free from these ruins. We were all on a picnic, playing stupid games and just having fun" Chaewon's eyes sparkled recalling about all those scenes from her dream that felt too good to be true.
"Ah I wish we could do that. I wanna go out spend time with you all" She sighed. Her dream was probably forever gonna remain as one.
"I'll try my best to give you that. I'll do anything I can to fulfill that dream of yours" Chan said sincerely as Chaewon turned to look at him in the eyes.
"I'll do anything I can to make you happy Chae, do you trust me?"
"I trust you" She replied almost as sincerely as he asked her.
"What was it that you wanted to talk about though?" Chaewon brought up the topic as Chan now seemed to turn into a shy little boy.
"See- I know that the situation we're in isn't something where I should talk about this but I can't help it Chae" Taking in a deep breath-
-"I like you, I like you so much" He finally confessed what he wanted to since so long.
"I like you too Channie" Chaewon replied, giggling at how timid Chan looked.
"Wow, I had practiced this over and over again but saying it out loud was such a tough task" He said as he could finally feel at ease.
"Does this mean we're dating now?"
"I guess we are" Chan chuckled, slowly moving his hand to intertwine his fingers with Chaewon.
"Can I kiss you?" Chaewon seemed slightly flustered at first, but nodded the next second and Chan leaned in.
Her awkward hands made their way to his nape while his were placed on her jaw, kissing her gently. They smiled through the kiss, caressing each other's faces while they poured all their emotions in the it.
"God, I think I'm falling for you deeper each passing minute" Chan said as he rested his forehead against Chaewon's after they pulled away.
"Me too, Chan" She said in a low voice as she leaned in to kiss her boyfriend once again.
