X. Adult bonuses

Namjoon and hoseok looked at each other and before they could even nod, jimin spoke again, "so they do"

Namjoon sighed, "aren't you too sharp?"

"They were pretty obvious though", jimin shrugged before hoseok spoke,"yes, and now jungkook is convinced that taehyung had gone on a date and that date is you and soon you're both gonna be sappy boyfriend shits and then are gonna get engaged and then adopt twins and live a happily ever after"

"Could be a utopian reality but no.... You know yoongi Hyung is gonna kill me if I do any of that", jimin spoke and the namseok couple nodded...

"Hasn't it been a while for taehyung to be still in bathroom?", Namjoon wondered, looking onto hoseok before their faces morphed into evil smiles while jimin looked at questioningly all the while...

Meanwhile, jungkook sat on his bed, mining diamonds in Minecraft to fight off the down mood but his attention diverted when taehyung entered the room...

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be downstairs?", Taehyung raised a brow while Jungkook asked back, "why should I be downstairs?"

Taehyung sighed,"we have a guest there"
"And why does it matter that I'm not there... Do me a favour, give this undesired attention to your 'guest'", jungkook spoke before looking back at his phone screen...

"I'm not going", taehyung spoke, stubbornly tapping his feet against the floor but jungkook stood up, "fine I'm going then"

The younger was just about to exit the room when his wrist was yanked, making him look at the person who did it....

"What the fuck is your problem honestly?!", Taehyung asked, his voice laced in irritation, making jungkook scoff,   "what the fuck is my problem?! Kim taehyung seriously how dumb can you be?! I literally call you daddy yet how much IQ is it required to guess that I like you?!", Jungkook yelled, releasing the frustration and tears that had been penting up long enough..

And then there comes kim taehyung ..

"You like me?", He asked, pointing a finger at himself as if there was another person whom jungkook called daddy..

"No asshole, I was talking about Olaf, have you seen his abs?!", Jungkook spoke aggressively, making taehyung chuckle before the latter switched onto his daddy mode and inched closer to jungkook so that now, they were only inches apart...

"You like me... That's great, in fact that gets us on the same page then", taehyung smirked while Jungkook finally looked into his eyes, "you like me too?"

"No asshole I was talking about Kristoff, have you seen how cute he is?", Taehyung rolled his eyes ..

"Don't you dare show me that attitude of yours, kim"

"Getting informal now, are we?", Taehyung smirked, "but I think that is going to be a pretty common occurence since we'll be boyfriends", the said male shrugged and jungkook's eyes widened comically, "boyfriends?"

Taehyung hummed in response before inching closer, almost closing the gap between them when ...

no ... They were not at all interrupted...

Now go back and read that in a sarcastic tone...

"TAEHYUNGIE!!!!"

hoseok's chirpy voice followed by three grinning men entered the scene, much to taehyung's dismay...

Why did everyone always have to interrupt at the wrong time?!

At this point it didn't even seem innocent anymore..

"What?!", Taehyung asked in a whiny tone ..

"Lunch is ready!", Namjoon cheered to which the former raised a brow, "the last time you were so excited for lunch was on your second date with hobi Hyung"

This made the older roll his eyes, "Linda cooks almost as good as Jin from BTS, why won't I be excited?"

"If you don't want the she devil to appear, kindly don't go near the fourth wall", taehyung spoke and no matter how tempted I was to enter the scene, I didn't for the sake of a perfect scene (lol)

At the dining table, an array of side dishes was first served as all of them looked at them in awe..

"Why are we having all this suddenly?", Taehyung asked while namjoon shrugged, "well, jimin is here.. ofc I told Linda to make something special"

Hoseok huffed, "I don't remember you telling Linda to make something special on our first family lunch though"

"Oh c'mon, you know about my love for small things.. ofc I had to do it for jimin, too bad yoongi Hyung is not here", namjoon spoke, making hoseok, taehyung and jungkook chuckle while jimin glared at them...

"If yoongi Hyung was here, he'd have punched you in the face", jimin spoke after which namjoon scoffed, "as if any of you can reach it"

And that's just how the playful banter went before the main dish was served and they all got busy in food... However the peaceful cluttering of forks and knives stopped abruptly when jimin turned to taehyung and asked, "so.. Taehyungie, how are the adult bonuses?"

Taehyung choked.

Drinking a bit of water, taehyung looked at his bestfriend of years before uttering a somewhat a distraught 'w-what?'

"I asked, how do the adult bonuses feel?", Jimin asked ever so casually but before anyone could give a reaction ...

"What do adult bonuses mean, jimin-ssi?", Jungkook asked, looking at all the elders on the dining table with his innocent doe eyes and the childhood bestfriends could've sworn they saw a hint of evil in jungkook's eyes before it was quickly wiped away...

Jungkook was a baby, a very innocent at that, to namjoon and hoseok at least....

At that moment, taehyung knew Jeon jungkook was much more than what he seemed to be...
