Chapter 5-Nightmare Moon

Suddenly a dark light shot from the moon and struck the rooftop, five feet away from Raph.

The turtle jumped back in fright, falling down in the process, and watched as a tall lanky alicorn appeared.

He couldn't take his eyes off this creature. Her coat was the colour of coal, enguarded with a blue helmet, shoes and redalia collar. Her eyes were like blue cat eyes and she wore purple eyeshadow. Instead of her having hair ahe had dark blue mist billoing from her head and tail place and she had sharp white fangs in her mouth.

I'd like to say at this point Raph ran away or pulled out his sais or his phone or anything at all...but he didn't...he just sat there completely frozen.

The pony lifted her head high and unleashed an evil laugh.

"YES!" She announced. "I'm FREE at last! NOW...the night is MINE!"

"I thought they were nothing but a story." Raph whimpered, finding his voice at last.

His voice caught the pony's attention and she looked at him. An evil grin spread across her face.

"Well well well...what do we have here? A humanoid turtle, playing dress up." She chuckled in a menacingly way. "How adorable."

"Who are you?" Raph asked.

The pony smirked. Hmm...adorable AND curious? Let me introduce myself...Nightmare Moon...the Princess of the Night."

"A...princess?" Raph said, not sure what to say upon seeing an evil princess.

Nightmare Moon approached Raph. "I see you're the first one who's awake."

Raph started to get scared. "Um...yeah I'm the only one out here...to...to be exact." He gulped. "W-why do you...s-say that?"

Nightmare Moon tilted Raph's face higher toward her own with her hoof. "Do you see how beautiful this night is?"

"Um...yes...why?"

She leaned closer to his face and spoke in a soft but scary tone. "Because a thousand years ago nobody EVER noticed the beauty of my nights and spent them asleep." She beared her fangs. "SO...I am going to make this night LAST...FOREVER."

Raph let his jaw drop in horror. "Forever? You can't."

"Oh yes I can. I can do what ever I want with it, child, it MINE NOW. Its going to be ENDLESS."

Raph was terrified of Nightmare Moon and was horrified about her plan to never end the night. The turtle couldn't let that happen so he pushed her away. He stood up while putting on his brave face.

"No...I won't let you do this, Nightmare Moon. You MUST unfreeze the moon."

Nightmare Moon laughed. "Aww how sweet...you're going to fight against me? Such a lame choice."

Raph pulled out his sais. "Wanna bet?"

He ran to stab her chest but she struck him in the chest with her magic. Raph fell down onto the roof.

"Looks like I'm stronger than YOU, little one!" Said Nightmare Moon with an evil laugh.

Raph glared up at her. "Urgh...I'm...still...strong...Nightmare Moon...this...ends...here." He got to his feet.

"Think again, turtle." She lit her horn.

Blue smoke flew around Raph and he couldn't move. "Ugh...she got me! I can't escape!"

"There's no need to fight, child. You and the night will be mine forever!" Said Nightmare Moon with a slight chuckle.

"She's way...too strong." Said Raph beginning to cry. "I was so stupid...why didn't I listen to Splinter? Oh...Sensei...Father...you were so wise...I'm sorry."

"It's too late for tears now, kid!" Declared the princess. "Now let me have the night!"

"NO!" Raph retorted.

Nightmare Moon smiled the most evil smile in the world.

"Very well then, turtle...prepare to DIE!"

Raph shut his eyes in fear, ready for impact. But instead a voice shouted. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

Nightmare Moon stopped what she was doing, making Raph fall. "What?"

"Huh?" Raph wondered.

Suddenly a younger alicorn flew down from above and landed between Nightmare Moon and Raph.

Once Raph layed his eyes on the pony, it was love at first sight. She was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. "Whoa..."

"Get lost, little girl, and let me kill this turtle in PEACE!" Demanded Nightmare Moon.

the young pony fanned out her wing. "Hop on." She said to Raph.

Raph climbed onto her back and she glared at the evil princess. "I WON'T let you touch him, Nightmare moon." With that say she flew away.

Nightmare Moon yelled after them. "You'll BE back, turtle! I will be waiting! I'm a patient mare!"

The young alicorn flew high through the air, getting further and further away from the city. Raph began to worry and wanted to go back and stop Nightmare Moon.

"I have to go back. I have to stop her."

"You can't. There's no way to stop Nightmare Moon." The pony answered firmly but softly.

"There Has to be a way." Raph suggested.

The pony shook her head. "NO she's too powerful. It's too dangerous."

"PLASE turn AROUND."

"I CAN'T let her hurt you."

"Who are you? Why......why did you save me?" Asked Raph.

The pony looked forward and spoke shyly. "Twilight Sparkle."

Raph thought that was a beautiful name for someone to give their child.

"We'll be safe through here." She flew through a cloud, emerging through the other side.

Raph gasped in amazement. They were in a world of bright colours, a castle and a beautiful village of earth ponies, unicorns and Pegasi.

"Where are we?" Asked Raph.

"The Mystic Isles." Twilight replied.

Raph looked around in awe. "This is beautiful....this is where you live?"

"Of course. The Isle of the Ponies." Twilight began to fly faster. "There's the castle."

Raph held her mane to prevent himself falling off. Twilight fluttered through a window, into a throne room. She landed on the floor and kneeled down. Raph got off her back.

"Princess Celestia." She said with a bow.

Raph glanced and gaped at what he saw. Princess Celestia was approaching them. But she was different. She was taller and thinner and had streaks of green, purple and turquoise in her soft pink mane and tail.

"Twilight, what's happened? And whys this stranger with you? The princess asked worried.

"Nightmare Moon has returned and she's froze the moon." Twilight replied. She turned to Raph. "My friend, this is Princess Celestia, the ruler of the Pony Isle."

Raph bowed shyly. "Nice to meet you...Princess Celestia...ma'am."

Celestia tilted Raph's face higher toward her own with her hoof. "What is your name, young...turtle?"

"Raphael..." He said shyly.

"What did Nightmare Moon do to you?" Asked Celestia.

"She tried to end my life after I refused to let her have the night." Raph teared up.

Celestia felt his sadness. "I'm sorry about that. Come with us."
