Six months later on a cold day on the beginning of winter, the Royal sisters were standing in a room decorated like snowflakes before a blue jug.
"Is it really the last one we have?" Asked Luna.
"It has been over a thousand years, sister, and she only made so many," Celestia replied.
"Can we not save it?"
"You know she wouldn't have wanted that."
"But she...I...I never got to-"
Celestia draped a wing around her sister. "I am sorry for that...I knew she was a dear friend to you."
"The only one who ever truly knew my night."
"She still knows it, Luna...you know that."
Just then a pegasus royal guard arrived. "Princess, the weather captains are waiting for your signal."
The princesses walked onto the balcony, ready for the first snowfall of the year. Luna held the jug with her magic before turning to her sister. Celestia nodded.
Luna rose the hug high into the sky. "Thank you...my friend...for everything you gave...and every wish you never knew came true." She tilted the jug over on its side. "Goodbye."
Snowdrop's very first snowflake began to fall down to the earth.
Luna placed the jug at her side and watched as the snowfall began.
Celestia pulled her sister into a hug. "She'll never leave you as long as you remember her."
Luna teared up. "I know that...there was a part of me still inside that nightmare......trapped on the moon, I could tell the time passing by. I knew after a century past-that even if I could somehow return-she would be gone. That part of my heart, that could still feel, broke knowing I would never see her again."
Celestia knew Luna had a point. Snowdrop really had left this world a thousand years before she could be freed from that darkness. "It was all I take, Luna. It was for your own good."
"I...understand...sister," Luna sobbed.
Celestia pulled her sister into a hug. "It's okay, Luna...it's all in the past now. And you have new friends who can actually SEE your nights."
Luna wrapped her forelegs around Celestia to return her hug. "And hear the twinkling of the stars..." She smiled a little, "I appreciate it."
Just then a unicorn guard arrived. "Princess, I am to inform you that breakfast is prepared."
"Thank you, we be there in a moment," said Celestia.
The dismissed guard made his way into Palace.
Celestia began making her own way back when she noticed Luna wasn't following her. "Luna, aren't you coming to breakfast?"
Luna turned to her. "I'll be there soon. Just give me a moment."
Celestia nodded and continued to walk back into the castle.
Music starts
Who'd have thought that all this time
There was much more to me
I tried too hard to show I'm great
That wasn't meant to be
It's not a lesson easily learned
When you find you are wrong
But they never gave up hope it was inside me all along
Look at me now, I'm glowing
See the light of friendship in my eye, how it shines!
I know with my friends I am home
I have found my purpose in life
On this journey I have found
There's more than 'bad' or 'good'
The past may sting and leave a scar
On those misunderstood
But it wasn't till I gave up trying to claim a victory
That I realised love would come along
And finally set me free
Look at me now, I'm glowing
See the light of friendship in my eyes, how it shines!
I know with my friends I am home
I have found my purpose in life
This world is not meant to be perfect
Everyone has times they will fail
But we have to move on, and learn from it
We can't hold onto hate in our hearts
Cuz forgiveness will set us free, if we let it and I know
That now...it's my time!
