Chapter 4: ODM Gear Training.

Currently you're busy with ODM training, it's easy as hell.

"We'll begin by determining your aptitude! If you can't do this, you're not even fit to be bait! You'll be sent off to the fields!" Shadis yells.

You look to your left to see a bunch of people kind of struggling and some are great at it, Mikasa for example. You decide that it's worthless just staying in the air upright so you turn 90 degrees and lay on your back in the air with your hands behind your head.

"Hey Y/N?" Mikasa asks from your right, still hanging from the ODM Gear.

"Yeah?" You say as go hang normally again.

"Can I have my scarf back?"

"Sure."

You unwrap the scarf and throw it at Mikasa. She catches it and wraps it around her neck. Mikasa looks at you and goes wide-eyed.

"Huh? Shit." You say as you see a shadow lingering over you.

You look to your left to see that Shadis is standing there, looking at you angrily.

"Cadet L/N and cadet Ackerman! This may only be training, but would you be able to pass over a scarf while flying around the fields?!"

"Uh, pretty confident yeah."

"Next training in the forest you better pass that scarf around at least once! Or else you'll both have to fight against me in hand-to-hand combat training!"

'I think it'd be harder to go up against Mikasa or Annie.'

"Yes sir!" You both say.

"Oh, and Y/N, I know what you're thinking. As extra punishment of you getting on my nerves you'll have to fight against Mikasa and Annie if you fail."

'Shit! Mikasa you better not screw me over.'

A few hours have passed and Eren has failed completely, tomorrow he has one other chance. Armin, Mikasa and you are currently trying to help him. Armin raises the ropes and Eren falls forward again, but this time hitting his head on the floor.

"Great. We're all here for him right? I mean I'd probably have started a business if it wasn't for Eren, would've made some decent cash."

You help him up and Armin lowers the ropes. He walks out and storms off, Armin quickly follows after him.

"He could hear you y'know?" Mikasa says.

"Yeah, that's why I said it. I said it because it'd make him mad at himself and he'll push himself more to pass."

"That's actually... Pretty smart of you."

"I know, thank you. Speaking of me being smart, why don't I use Eren's gear for a second?"

"I don't see why that would make a difference but sure."

"Okay, be ready to catch me."

"Uh, sure."

You put on Eren's gear and Mikasa raises the ropes. You feel that it's really unsteady and you're losing your balance. You fall backwards but Mikasa catches you in time.
