Chapter 5: Hand-To-Hand Combat.

As of right now everyone is training with the ODM Gear in the forest. While cutting through the dummy Titans' napes you still have to pass the scarf around with Mikasa two times.

Mikasa flies besides you and hands over the scarf. She flies off to a dummy Titan and takes it out. She flies back to you and you throw the scarf at her, she catches it and you both turn your bodies 90 degrees so that you can stand on each other's feet. You both push yourselves off at great speeds, showing your teamwork abilities. While doing all of this Shadis is observing the cadets.

'Y/N L/N. He is great at working with Mikasa and following any orders she gives him, because of never fighting back they always flawlessly execute amazing movement in the air with each other. Y/N is exceptional at ODM Gear usage, he is also fairly athletic and strong as shown in the run with luggage they had a few days ago. His combat skills remain to be seen.'

Hand-to-hand combat. Thankfully you don't have to go up against Shadis, Annie or Mikasa.

"Hey Y/N, wanna spar?" Mikasa asks.

'I'm going to get absolutely violated... '

"Uh, sure."

Mikasa grabs a wooden knife and gets ready to fight, as do you.

Lots of people surround the two of you as Mikasa had taken everyone but Annie down and you had too. Neither of you want to fight Annie due to her being rather anti-social. You see Shadis smirking from in the crowd.

"Ready, go!" Armin yells.

Mikasa immediately goes for the strike but you direct it besides you. You quickly jab her side and she sweeps your feet away so you fall down on your back. She pins down your arms and legs. What she did with your arms is pin down the upper arms, not the lower arms. This left you with one opportunity, pull her towards you with her scarf.

"Now kiss!" Eren and some others yell.

'... That's actually a good idea.'

You grab her scarf and pull her face down to yours, you kiss her which shocks her and makes her loosen her grip. Using this chance you quickly flip her onto the ground on her front. You sit on her back, take the knife and hold it against her throat. This means that Mikasa loses.

'That worked?!'

You get up and Mikasa does as well.

"You're one strong woman you know that?" You say.

"Yeah... " She says still a bit shocked.

"Smart work, cadet L/N. You had only one opportunity and you saw it and took it. It gave you the advantage and you used it to win. Just remember, kissing doesn't work on everyone."

This comment leaves both Mikasa and you blushing.

"Yes, sorry about that by the way." You say to Mikasa.

"No it's fine." She says.

"Oh. Okay."
