Chapter 8: The Battle Of Trost.

It's been around a month since Mikasa and you started dating, things have been going smoothly but not with much progression. Currently you're stationed on top of the wall to clean cannons and such with Eren and some others, somehow Sasha managed to steal some meat which everyone enjoyed. Everything was going well until a certain boom sounded behind you. Everyone got blasted back by the large amount of heat the Colossal Titan emits, you were quick to act and hooked to the Colossal Titan, the heat didn't hurt as much as you thought it did. The smoke blinded you though, because of that the Colossal had the chance to punch you point-blank, he took the chance. The punch... Didn't hurt? You did get launched all the way to the HQ, conveniently where Mikasa and a few others are stationed. You blasted through some walls and eventually land in the small outside plaza of the building. Immediately a bunch of people run up to you. You stand up and everyone looks shocked.

"... What?"

"Aren't you hurt?!" Mikasa asks.

"Now you mention it, no. By the way the Colossal is at the wall!"

"Is that how you're here?!"

"Yeah he punched me point-blank."

...

"How the hell are you alive?!" Reiner yells confused.

"No idea, but that's not the issue. Eren, Armin, Connie, Sasha and others are right now on that wall fighting the Colossal which has highly likely breached the wall again!"

"We need to go help them immediately!" Mikasa says.

A garrison commander then yells.

"No! The Colossal Titan Response Operation is already underway, you're all to remain here until further orders!"

"... Then let's hope for quick orders, cause if I don't have orders for another 30 minutes I'm going out there with or without them." You say.

It's been a while and Eren and co. have arrived at HQ. After 25 minutes a garrison soldier approaches you and Mikasa.

"Eren. If the battle gets chaotic, come find me." Mikasa says.

"Huh? We're in different squads!"

"If the situation falls apart, things won't go according to plan. I'll protect you!"

"What the hell are you..."

"Cadet Ackerman, cadet L/N. You're both in the rearguard. Special orders. Come with me." The soldier says.

"I-I'm not skilled enough! I'll only be a burden!"

"I am not asking for your opinion. The citizens' evacuation is behind schedule. We need as many elite soldiers near them as possible. "

"B-But...!"

"Hey! Cut the crap, Mikasa!" Eren yells.

"Eren can take care of himself just fine, Mikasa. We've been training in the corps for a reason. That was to fight for yourself and Eren is very good at that." You say.
