"I'm the drug in your veins, just fight through the pain"
I push open the door of the Grill, turning back to wave at Care. My eyes move from table to table before finally settling on Alaric. I softly smile at him as I make my way over.
"Did you already order?" I ask as I slide into the booth on the opposite side of Alaric.
I notice he's changed his clothes but just swapped it out for different dark clothes.
He drags his eyes from my waist and up, to finally meet my own as discreetly as he can, which wasn't very discreet as he thought.
"No. I was waiting for you." He says.
"Well then we can get started. Did you bring t-" I'm cut off by the waitress.
"What can I get for you today?" She asks in a low and sultry voice.
I look over the dirty blonde. She's most likely new, seeing as she doesn't know who she's trying to flirt with. I try to contain my amusement when I see the disturbed look on Alarics face. I wait patiently for him to say our usual order.
"I'll just have a water." Klaric answers barely looking at the woman.
My eyebrows furrow slightly at him while the waitress glances at me, expecting.
"Oh. I'll have the bacon cheese burger with a side of fries." I ramble off my order.
Alaric knows my order by heart, and i've never had to order for myself. Not that it bothers me to order myself, it's just that Alaric always felt the need to do it for both of us.
The waitress looks at me and without answering she leaves.
"You didn't get your normal." I point out his weird behavior.
"I'm on a diet." Alaric says then internally cringes at the weak excuse.
"Yeah okay, Edward Cullen." I laugh before pulling out my math book.
"Even if the damn apocalypse was occurring, we would still have to go to school." I joke.
Alaric ignores my humor, "I thought you were 19?"
I pause what i'm doing and look up at him, with a suspicious glint in my eye.
"I went to a behavioral camp for two years. It set me back in school. I told you this."
