CHAPTER TWENTY:
"date night"

It had been like three days  since the whole Annie and Oscar incident. Nobody except Asher and Johnny knew.

It was after school, Johnny and Annie where walking alone in the long hallways of LA High hand in hand because their teacher left their class early.

"Are you done with you're assignment?" Johnny asked.

She smiled, "Yeah, I finished them last night"

"Good." He said as he came in front of her, walking backwards.

"You're gonna fall." She laughed.

He rolled his eyes playfully, "Soo i wanted to ask you something"

He said, a cheeky grin on his face.

She smiled, "and that is?"

"I was wondering if you would want to get some pizza today and then we could like get some ice cream too" He smirked.

She smirked back him, "Today?" She questioned. She was Annie, she wasn't gonna say yes so easily.

"Yes, today," He said as he put his arm around her shoulder.

"Like a date?" She raised a brow, a wide smile on her face too.

He looked at her, "Mhm," He nodded. "You and I, food, perfecto"

She smirked, "Let me think about it" She said softly.

He cocked his brow, never removing his eyes from hers, giving her a certain look.

She laughed at his confused expression, "Of course i'll go on a date with you Orlando"

"You had me there for a second, well, kinda—" He said pulling her closer, she only laughed.

"Should i dress Casual or Fancy?" She questioned.

"Wear anything you want" He answered.

"You're literally no help" She deadpanned, crossing her arms.

He rolled his eyes playfully, "Uh, wear something you would wear to a school party." He said.

She smiled, "Okay."

"Look who's got a date!" Josh laughed as Johnny put on his jacket.

"Shut up." Johnny deadpanned. "I'm sneaking out."

"You do know their gonna find out eventually right?" Josh questioned.

"Yeah but we'll see when that happens." Johnny replied. "See ya"

Johnny winked as he climbed out of Josh's window.

Annie played with her fingers as she waited for Johnny to get there. She didn't exactly know why she was nervous but she was.

When heard a knock on her door, She grabbed her small side bag and went towards the door and soon enough unlocking it, revealing Johnny.

He had on a plain white tee and a black pant in contrast and of course, he had on his jean jacket with his small chain dangling off his neck. Basic.

"Hi," She breathed out as she got a good look of him.

"You look amazing," He complimented her making her blush.

(without the cup)

"Too much?" She asked looking down at her fit.

"You're literally beautiful. Now come on," He said putting his hand out.

She smiled and grabbed his hand.

"Shall we?" He asked in a British accent.

"We shall." She replied in the same manner as they walked towards his car.

He opened the door as they walked into a restaurant which smelled like fresh pizza.

"Good Evening you two," The guy in the front desk said.

Annie gave him a wide smile, "Good Evening,"

He gave her a quick smile back, "Reservation?" He questioned.

Johnny smiled, "Mr. and Mrs. Orlando" Johnny responded.

The waiter smiled, "Ah Cute," He commented as he fiddled with his desktop. "Table 12" He said.

"Thank you" They both mumbled as they walked towards their table.

Being the gentleman Johnny was, he pulled out the chair for her earning a smile in return. She sat down then he sat himself down too.

"Mrs.Orlando huh?" Annie raised a brow, smirking a little.

He shrugged, "That's the only way we could get champagne"

She rolled her eyes playfully, "Idiot," She joked.

"You love to call me that don't you?" He laughed.

She shrugged, "Mhm" She smiled.

It was about 10:30 pm. They had spent a whole four and a half hours together, enjoying each other's company.

They had stopped by the ice cream parlour earlier, Annie licked the last spoonful of ice cream as they walked out the store.

Johnny's arm around her waist.

"I don't know if you like ice cream or me more" He joked.

"Are you kidding? Ice cream is the clear winner." She laughed as she threw her empty cup in the outside bin.

She looked up noticing someone she despised. She gripped onto his arm, "Johnny.." She said softly.

"Yeah?" He asked.

She gestured him to look over, his jaw clenching as he saw who it was.

"Please don't fight." She said softly even though she clearly didn't like Oscar- or whatever his name was. There were three boys sitting standing right next to Johnny's car. They were smoking.

"I won't. They're high too." He said as he walked towards his car.

"Hey Orlando," One of them commented, he reeked of smoke and alcohol.

"I'm not in the mood Faze," Johnny answered, holding onto Annie tighter.

"Oh why because you're little girlfriend is with you huh?" He laughed causing Johnny to roll his eyes.

Oscar smirked as he realised it was Annie, "Wait it's that girl from the other day," He said, His jaw was wounded, probably from Asher.

"You could be in jail right now for sexual assault, so be happy you're still here." Johnny said, his voice intimidating.

Oscar laughed, "You have no proof."

"Asher does." Annie lied, the harshness showing in her eyes.

Oscar put his hands up in surrender but the walked closer to her, "Relax babe," He smiled lazily.

"Back off," Johnny said before Annie sat in his car.

She cringed as she moved away. "Asshole." She muttered under head breath getting into the car quickly, Johnny doing the same.

"I'll be waiting babyy" He smirked. Annie put her window down as she gave him the middle finger.

As Johnny was driving off, She made eye contact with one of them making her freeze. The one among the three who didn't open his mouth and also the guy Asher fought in the skate park. His eyes were drained and red ( probably because of the drugs ) but it looked like was dead on the inside, like he literally wanted to murder someone.

'Keith Raymond..' A voice rang in her head, as she remembered him telling his name to the cops in St.Monica. His eyes, they surely did scare her.

"You okay?" Johnny asked from the side.

She looked at him and smiled faintly, "Yeah."
