Both the families planned a simple in-house engagement with not more than 30 close family and friends. Heavy preparations were going from catering to the decorations. Hriday was completing all his important works and deals for the week so that he could have a carefree quality time during his function.

A few days before the engagement,

Hriday's mom, Chandra invited Ayesha over to Hriday's flat. Ayesha entered the apartment and spotted kids laughing and playing in the park. She always loved such an atmosphere. Smiling, she entered the lift and pressed the button for the 7th floor. She walked over to the door and rang the bell.

Hridays mother was washing the vessels when she heard the bell.

M: Hriday...poi yarunu paru

Hriday's room was completely messy. He was sitting amidst a pile of papers bearing a frown over his head. He was soo much into his work, that his mom's words never registered in his head.

Chandra was tired of calling him again and again so she herself went and opened the door.

C: Va da ma...ulla va..epdi irka? (she asked touching Ayesha's face softly)

A: Na nala irken aunty..neenga epdi irkeenga?

C: Romba nala irken...apro aunty la vena athai ne koopdu

A (blushes): Seringa athai

C: Seri na unaku juice eduthutu varen. Apro, en aruma magan antha room la than irkan, na evlo kathiyum varla, nee soli achu velila varana paru.

Chandra left to the kitchen, while Ayesha walked over to his room. She peeked in to find him seated in the center of his disorganized room, staring at his laptop with his messy hair and baggy clothes.

She had this sudden urge to run her hands through his hair, but she immediately pushed that thought away and opened the door wide.

On spotting Ayesha at his doorstep, hriday jerked standing up causing all the papers on his lap to scatter on the already messy floor. He quickly began picking up all the papers, and Ayesha joined him too.

Not even a minute later the room was crystal clean while hriday was left breathless due to his prompt actions. Hriday walked over to Ayesha and breathlessly greeted her, while she reciprocated it back too.

H: Nee inga epdi?

A: En na vara koodatha ena?

H: Ayoo na apdi solala...dhidirnu pathena...athan shock aiten

A: Athai than invite pannanga.

H: Athai ya? (He asks clueless)

A: Athan unga amma.

H: Enga amma unaku athai ya?

A: Varungala purushanoda amma va athai nu koopddama vera epdi koopduvanga?

His eyes widen while she bites her tongue realizing what she said. Before he could even reply, his mother entered the room with 2 glasses.

C: Inthanga eduthukonga

Saying she hands over each of them a glass filled with fresh lemon juice.

C: Ena room athukulla clean aiduchu
