— ISABELLA WALKED INTO WORK with a spring in her step. She had so much drama to tell Paul and she couldn't wait to see him again. Isabella wasn't ashamed to admit that she saw Paul as her best friend. She rushed through the hallways before finally reaching her office and throwing open the door. "Paul!" She exclaimed happily making the man turn to look at her. A bright smile broke out on Paul's face when she raced over to him and hugged him tightly. "I've got news!" She squealed as they pulled away from the hug and sat down.

"Me and James are now official and that's not all, Harry called me mum yesterday" Isabella explained, a beaming smile on her face. "Woah, that's a lot of information" Paul sighed, leaning back on the couch. "First of all, Congrats! Harry called you mum? That kid must really like you; it's only been what... oh my god it's almost been 9 months!" Paul gasped, realising exactly how long it had been.

She knew people would think it may be a bit early for him to be calling her such a strong word such as mum. However, if that was what Harry wanted then who was she to say no, plus it was a lovely feeling. They had all talked about its last night and let Harry say what he wanted to say.

He was glad that he had finally told her how he felt and how he saw her as a mother figure. However, he knew it would take a bit of getting used to calling her mum so they were just going to take it easy and when he felt like calling her mum he could and when not, he didn't have to. Isabella was just grateful that he saw her as a mother figure.

"And you and James? About fucking time in my opinion" Paul simply nodded his head as he told her. "My ship has finally sailed" he said as he sighed contently. "So, enough about me, how are you?" Isabella asked genuinely. "Better now that you're back, we've got lots of work to do. We need to start planning the New Year's Eve ball" Paul informed her making her grumble as she sunk down into the seat. "I know you hate doing it but if we start now it'll be less work later on" Paul tried.

"I know" She sighed, forcing herself to stand up. "So where's James?" Paul asked, just now realising that her bodyguard/boyfriend was nowhere in sight. "He's dropping Harry off at school" Isabella explained. "He was extremely excited this morning because he knew that after school he got to go trick or treating" Isabella told Paul as the duo left her office and began making their way down to the ballroom that was within the ministry.

"I forgot it was Halloween" Paul hummed as they walked into the ballroom. It was grand big hall; it was made so big so that it could accommodate the entire ministry and perhaps their families if they wished to bring them. "I haven't forgotten, Harry wants me to dress up as Padmé Amidala, James has to dress up as Anakin Skywalker so that he can dress up as Luke" Isabella explained. Really she didn't mind all that much because the costume cruelly suited her.

"Lucky you" Paul joked as he walked around the room. "You're more than welcome to join us Paul, you can dress up as Princess Leia" Isabella retorted making Paul glance back at her with an unreadable look on his face. "I'll pass but for the record I would make a beautiful Leia" He stated before wandering further ahead of her.

...

Later on that day, after Isabella had made her way back to her humble abode, she got ready to go trick or treating. She was wearing the outfit that Padmé wore when she and Anakin went for a picnic date. Harry did have to convince her to put on the headpiece though. As she walked towards the front door she heard what sounded like clanging plastic just outside the door. When she opened up the front door to see what it was she found James and Harry having a lightsaber fight in their costumes.

She smiled genuinely at the sight as she grabbed Harry's little trick or treating bag before closing and locking the door behind her. She decided to let them finish they're battle and just watch. She was never a huge fan of Star Wars until Harry made her sit down and watch all the movies with her and in the end, she actually really enjoying them, she just needed to have the right persuasion.

Soon enough their duel ended when Harry pretended to stab James with his saber. James dramatically clutched his side as Harry pulled his lightsaber away. She couldn't help but laugh as James slowly fell to the floor. His acting was what she'd call impeccable. "You ready to go now Harry?" Isabella asked making the young boy nod, taking the bag from her and running down the hallway towards the lift.

"Come on the Anakin" Isabella gave him her hand amusedly, helping him up. "I can't believe he'd kill his own father" James shook his head, as they hurried to catch up with Harry before the elevator arrived. "Don't be so dramatic James" She laughed, nudging him with her elbow slightly as they walked into the elevator. "So Harry, are you going to share any of you Halloween sweets?" James asked his son.

"Well, you can both have one thing seen as you dressed up" Harry decided making them smile amusedly. "How very generous" Isabella snickered jokingly, although she wouldn't actually want anything more from Harry.

The trio walked into the street that was covered in Halloween decorations from the nearby houses. Isabella would give her street credit for that, they definitely put work in on the holidays to make it look as good as they could. However, as soon as she's not minister of magic anymore, she's out of there. She'd quite like to stay on a farm out in the countryside.

When she was younger she did actually want to be a farmer, it always interested her. And if she bought her own farm she could finally give it a go. Not that she thought she'd be much good at it but it would be a good activity to keep her busy.

James and Isabella watched contently as Harry chapped on almost every house on the street. They did stay close to him though just in case. They continued going round the houses until Harry's bag was filled to brim. With much convincing they managed to get Harry to agree to go home. As they walked they saw a bunch of teens ride past on their bikes, plastic bags filled with toilet paper.

That was another good thing about living in a flat, she didn't have to worry about her house getting covered in toilet paper.

When they were back up in the apartment Harry emptied all of his sweets onto the living room floor. Isabella quickly checked them all with a spell before determining they were all safe to eat. Harry and James got to work sieving through the sweets to find the ones Harry wasn't a fan of so that him and Isabella could have them. Isabella was about to help them when the phone went off.

She sat down on the couch and brought her legs up to her chest before picking up the phone. "Hello?" She said, wondering who was at the other end. "Hi Bella, it's Paul" He sighed. "Paul? Everything okay?" She asked, making James glance up slightly. "No, it's actually not okay Bella" He informed her with a strained laugh. "Far from okay unfortunately"

"Paul? What's going on?" Isabella questioned, worry lacing through her words. James clearly picked up on it as well as he stopped what he was doing with Harry and looked up at her confusedly. "You know how I said I was working late tonight?" Paul asked making her him in response, letting him know to continue.

"Well we've had a few panicked phone calls from a couple of people" Paul began. "Paul, just tell me what's happening?" She said, getting impatient and just wanting to know exactly what was going on and what had made Paul get so worried and wound up. "There's no easy way to say this Bella..." Paul trailed off slightly and Isabella could hear him taking in deep breath at the other end.

"There's been sightings of death eaters"

..........

Well that took an unexpected turn didn't it?!

It seems like things are about to get a bit more interesting ;)

Hope you enjoyed,
