Destinia POV

I sigh as I continue along the dark path, a small orb of light floating in front of me to light my way. Three long years I have been away, the rumors of my missing had not escaped my ears my my how the supernatural world loved to gossip. The rumors ranged from anything from I had fled to the mortal realms to I had died, my favorite rumor had to be that I had lost my mind and was living as a crazy cat lady in a swamp mainly because that was the closest rumor that was close to being true.

I feel something hit me in the back of the head followed by a hiss, I roll my eyes "we are almost there Ambrosia, just calm down for a few more minutes." I try to soothe my familiar that has voiced her annoyance of being carried in a pack for the past 2 days. Ambrosia was more than just a familiar she held a small part of my essence within her, it was a painful transference that was dangerous to perform and the chance that both of us made it through it was slim. When the spell worked I breathed a sigh of relief that day, it had been step 2 of my plan.

The past 3 years of my life had been a royal fucked up mess that I was still in the process of cleaning up. I had lost my baby sister Isadora suddenly, watching her wither away and suffer until her heart gave away. I knew it was not a typical sickness as the doctors had claimed.I began my journey at that time chasing every rumor and whisper that sounded like what Isadora had suffered. Sadly the first 2 years of trying to figure out what the truth was had ended in the bottom of a bottle drinking the pain away.

I made a terrible mistake that had to put these plans into action, on one of my drunken nights I walked into the middle of the woods on the last harvest moon of the season and called forth any being that would listen to my pleas and help. Sadly there was one that was listening, and he had been waiting and watching for a while....

I shake my head to remove the memory I can't focus on that right now, not with what is coming up. My eyes finally focus on the castle coming into view, the current Goddess's home. It was my turn to become the new Goddess I had felt the pull about 6 months ago and had started to prepare for my journey and role. I sigh as I reach the heavy wooden doors and lift the ancient brass knocker. A small female fairy with bright green hair answers the door her high-pitched voice rings out with excitement "Mistress has been waiting for you, please hurry inside!"I step inside ready to accept my fate
