𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐘 in the auditorium seats. it was now time for everyone to audition with their own pieces, rather that was original songs or covers of songs. ricky had been silently panicking since he didn't have a song prepared, and rue could only hope that he wouldn't sing bet on it. he had made her hate that song in so many ways. ashlyn and kourtney stepped onto the stage, excited smiles on their faces as they faced miss jenn — who was sat at the table on the stage.
"this is an original song i wrote about. . . nerd-alert! the power of friendship." ashlyn informed, making everyone chuckle. "it was originally written as a solo, but then that was wrong, so i wrote it for three people, and we'll be singing for two."
"amateurs." rue heard the new girl mumble, making her turn around and glare at her. she glared back, a big smile on her face as she looked at rue.
"today's supposed to be a happy day." remy reminded as he turned rue's head back towards the stage. "not one filled with anger. ignore her, okay?"
rue nodded, mumbling things under her breath as she focused on her two friends on stage. remy silently laughed at her, shaking his head. this made ej look at him, a small smile on his face from hearing the boy's laughter. remy felt his cheeks heat up once he realized that ej was looking at him, the washington boy slouching in his seat.
