"Do what you want. I'm telling you Let me into your heart. Can't stand it, backhanded. They wanna see us fallin' apart. You know that I love you. So let me into your heart. Let me into your heart. Do you really love me?. I'm gon' get you, girl, ahhhh. This is the end of us. Sleeping with the moon and the stars. I know where you've been, you can see the sun"

"Pass me the production rates from C building", Ajax said without looking up from his desk.

Achilles' could feel the thick tension in the air, it was so uncomfortable. Ever since that Eric-ending night last week, Ajax hadn't flirted with him, he barely even looked at him.

As of now, Achilles just tries to ignore the ache in his heart.

After passing the paper's Achilles excused himself from the office, finally taking advantage of this day-off he was granted.

He went home, changed into some sweats and left seeking advice.

"What do I do?", Achilles asked desperately

"What if he's a wizard and he poisoned you?", Mark murmured stupidly

"So let's get this straight", Grisham said

"He's not", Mark interrupted, laughing

"So your drink got spiked, you got drunk and you don't remember what happened when you came home?", Grisham said.

"Mhm", Achilles confirmed

"Now he's ignoring you and it makes your heart hurt?"

"Correct"

"You came over that night" Mark stated

"And you were mumbling about how he has no right to do this to you, how you're gonna give him a piece of your mind and this will be the last time he messes with you"

"I just thought you were talking about another victim."

"I could slap you right now", Achilles said as he stared accused at Mark

"Alright guys, I gotta take this call", Mark all but yelled as he retreated out the room

"He left his phone."

"I wasn't really gonna slap him", Achilles whispered to no one in particular.

"Achilles, I'm gonna give the best advice I can, you ready?"

Achilles nodded

"Go"

"Get"

"Your"

"Man", Grisham said slowly as he pushed Achilles out the door

"Bu-"

"No buts", Grisham said shutting the door on his son

After pushing his stubborn son out the door, he sat and allowed the joyful memories to over take him. He sat reminiscent of the young boy's childhood. The nights where he would sit and stare quietly. The nights where he would just be there. Grisham remembered trying to interest the boy in many ways, spending unthinkable amounts on toys, shows and movies all for the purpose of making the little boy smile. He remembered trying anything to get a reaction out of him, anything to get him to eat, to move, to talk.

He remembered the night he had gone to sleep, only to wake up when the small boy stumbled into his bed. It was on that day that the walls Achilles' had built up began to slowly crumble.

Achilles sat in the parking lot of some unimportant store. He sat in his car, the air on and music blasting and cried.

He cried for his own cowardice.

He cried for his family.

He cried because of his fear.

He cried tears of anger.

Tears of hope.

Tears of joy.

He remembered the first night when he met Ajax, how he helped him through his troubles.

He remembered how he woke up to find Ajax's hand entwined with his own, the warmth that he radiated.

He found himself smiling.

Ajax had finished the stressful workday.

He never realized how much of the load Achilles shouldered while he was away.

As he entered the threshold of their home, he thought back to Achilles' drunken confession. He thought back to his poor mother.

To him, Achilles was like a bird he'd found with a broken wing. He knew he could keep him forever, but that was against the nature of the bird. It craved, no it needed freedom. As much as it'd hurt him, he knew what had to be done.

He couldn't bear the thought of Achilles enduring the same fate as his mother.

Achilles didn't deserve to be submerged in his world, the world of evil and deception that he would soon be crowned king in.

The world that his mother was all but undeserving of.

"We need to talk", Ajax said as Achilles walked through the door

"I have something to say as well, you go first", Achilles said, looking more nervous than usual.

"You're fired", Ajax said as the pain in his chest grew significantly at Achilles' saddened face.
