Leafy trudged along the dirt pathway leading to her nest. Her mum's Willow and Sundew were so annoying! They didn't let her join the all tribes hunting party, even though she was already 6! Leafy jumped onto her bed and glared at the 2 empty ones next to her. Of course her parents got to go.
Leafy realised she should probably be helping build the new Leafwing village, but she was too tired. Wait, I am not tired, she thought fiercely, my parents CAN NOT be right FOR MOONS SAKE! But just as she thought this, her head dropped and she fell asleep to the wind blowing and the sound of scratching.

Wait what?!? The sound of scratching? Leafy's head shot up and she saw a dragon staring at her.
He looked like a Hivewing, with mostly golden scales and dots of black. But what startled Leafy were his wings. They were a beautiful azure blue with all over of purple. They were breathtaking.
Leafy realised she was still staring just like the Hivewing (was it?) was. They both looked away embarrased. An awkward silece emerged.
"Hi?" Leafy said cautiously, breaking the silence. "Ummm, whst are you doing here"
"Oh, just looking for some food" the dragon stuttered. Leafy looked at him in disbelief.
"Well... I'm Leafy."
"My name is Goldpatch" replied the dragon.
"Yourwingsareverypretty" Leafy blurted out. She shut her mouth in embarrassment as her turned red.
"Thanks" smiled Goldoatch "I'm a Hivewing Silkwing hybrid"
"Who are your parents?" Leafy asked, only half listening.
"Anyway, I have to go" said Goldpatch, avoiding the question "I'll come back here tommorow."
"Ok!" said Leafy happily.
And a new friendship was born, well, that's what Leafy hoped.

When her parents got home, the sun was already setting. Leafy was so excited to tell her parents about Goldpatch.
"Hi Leafy!" Willow said, hugging her daughter.
"Whew... that hunt was exhausting!" Sundew gasped, collapsing in her nest with a huff.
Willow laughed "I told you not to keep chasing after that lion, but of course you didn't listen!"
"I almost got it!"
"But you didn't!"
"Yeah, but-"
"Guys guys guys!" Leafy yelled excitedly, interrupting her parents conversation. "I made a friend!"
Willow and Sundew glanced at each other, happy for their daughter.
"Cool!" Sundew said "What was their name?"
"Goldpatch" Leafy announced proudly. Sundew shot Willow a look.
"Goldpatch is Blue' s and Cricket's son." Willow said excitedly. "I knew you would get along"
"Blue and Cricket's son!?!?!?" Leafy screamed excitedly "Yay!"
Her parents laughed at her enthusiasm. Sundew smiled.
"Well, you can see him tommorow, because if us currently time for bed."
"Okkkkkkkk" Leafy whined, annoyed. She hopped into her nest, and almost immediately fell asleep, thinking of what a good day tommorow would be.

When Leafy woke up the next day, she was bubbling with excitement. Willow was cooking yam pancakes, her favourite! Plus, she got to see Goldpatch today! Sundew hugged her daughter goodbye as she went to visit her friends Luna, Blue and Cricket. Goldpatch's parents, Leafy thought, another wave of excitement hitting her. After breakfast, Willow went upstairs to read, leaving Leafy all alone.
After a few minutes, Goldpatch appeared behind some bushes.
"Hi!" said Leafy enthusiastically. But Goldpatch didn't answer. He simply stared at her in horror.
"Uh, helloooooo!" Leafy said, annoyed, waving a talon across his face. All at once, her talon was snatched out of the air. She let out a blood curling scream of panic, as the world faded to black.

She awoke groggily, scratching her head. Beside her, She saw a dragon. With great effort, she turned her head to see Goldpatch smirking at her.
"Goldpatch?" she whispered in fear. His eyes were like voids.of drakness, and she was falling in. Suddenly, Goldpatch's eyes turned back to normal. But only for a split second. They turned back to the voids, and a shadow emerged from behind him.
The dragon that emerged was like nothing she had ever seen before. It looked over her, hold and black wings flapping in anger. Queen Wasp. But as Leafy peered closer, she realised that the ex queen wasn't really there. She was a phantom.

Leafy had discovered, long ago, a cockroach hidden in her food. A classic prank from her older brother, Vine. But her wasn't prepared for what came next. An ear piercing shriek of pure fear sent him scurrying off in horror. It had been Leafy, of course, discovering the cockroach. Her brother had curled up into a ball and started having a panic attack. He just couldn't cope with the noise, due to trauma as a dragonet. He began crying and ramming himself into the wall. He clawed at his face in panic, his sharp claws slicing through his scales. Leafy had tried to pull them away, but Vine was inconsolable. That's how her brother had died. They later found out his ears had been ruptured, and to this day Leafy lived with the guilt of killing her brother. The feeling of fear had seemed to take Leafy over in that second. That's what she felt like now. She let out a loud shriek. It vibrated off the walls, and Queen Wasp snarled in annoyance.
"You arrogant runt of a leaf!" she roared. "Give me Sundew! Give me Cricket! They betrayed me, and that deserves the highest punishment. Death. Them or you. Choose." Suddenly, she faded away. Leafy realised it had been Goldpatch speaking the whole time. His face was blank, and words were seeping out of his mouth like water. She felt scared, confused, but above all of those she felt the sting of betrayal.

Leafy woke realised she up with a yawn. She heard a faint crack! She sat up in excitement.
"Goldpatch, it's happening!" Goldpatch came out of his room in excitement. It had been years since The Control. Queen Wasp wasn't actually dead this whole time. She was in a half dead state due to her years inside the flamesilk cavern, but Sundew soon put an end to that. Goldpatch and Leafy were now married. A loud scratch interrupted her thoughts. Her newborn baby crawled out of her shell. Her scales look exactly like hers, but when she lifted her wings, a ripple of gold, black, purple and blue could be seen. Her daughter would be perfect. Life, she thought happily, really surprises you.

Yay! Leafy and Goldpatch now have a child! In the next chapter, you might be seeing more of them. Bye!
