{Finally got around to chapter 4, writing this at 4am because i can't sleep}

Perhaps it was the accident, or maybe seeing how torn up his brother was, but Marcus felt empty, numb, he felt as if he had no purpose.

As of this moment, he was sat on the edge of his bed, three days after arriving home, he hadn't spoken a single word, he hadn't left his room, everyone was worried, but knew to give him space. All Marc could really think about was the look on Billy's face. He had only known the guy for a very short time, but felt the need to be around him, to get to know him.

After showering and finally taking the gauze, and bandages of his face, he stared blankly at the mirror, he still was in denial at he fact that he had lost an eye. until he saw the stitches, and didn't feel it, he was disgusted, so much so that he swiveled round, and curled over the toilet, throwing up. He wasn't going to get used to this, and it was tearing him apart. His ribs throbbed from hurling, and his head killed. "EdDiE" He yelled weakly, he just wanted someone to help, someone to talk to him, he wanted a hug.

It was only a matter of seconds before his brother burst through the door, immediately kneeling down, and pulling Marcus into his arms, Marc let out a pained sob, and clung onto Eddie for dear life. He was lucky to have the older Munson, he always knew how Marcus felt, and always knew how to help, it made life a little more easier. Around ten minutes later they both pulled away, Eddie helping Marcus back to his bedroom, He curled up in his bed and let himself fall back asleep. That's all he ever felt like doing anymore, sleep, it was the only time he didn't get trapped in his thoughts.

However a few hours later his slumber was broken by a knock on the door. He could tell by the light rhythmic tap that is was Eddie, He poked his head in, and spoke. "you have a visitor..." With that he moved out of the way, and let Billy walk in, Marc was taken aback to say the least, but curious, he wanted to know what the other had to say. Eddie closed the door to give them some privacy, which was appreciated. The Hargrove boy hesitantly sat on the edge of the bed, he was clutching something in his hand, and before Marc could ask anything, Billy spoke.

"Marcus, what happened scared me... but i shouldn't have walked out like that, it was childish, and unnecessary, i hope you understand" This would have been pretty heartfelt, if Billy wasn't speaking through gritted teeth, if his jaw wasn't clenched, if his gaze wasn't stuck to the ground. Marc should have expected this, that was just Billy, cold, and unable to even mutter the words 'i'm sorry'. This hurt a little, but Marcus didn't take it personally, he didn't even know the latter that well, they had only had spoken mere sentences to each other. Hargrove didn't hover, he left as quickly as he arrived, leaving a crumpled up note on Marc's desk.

The note was only noticed around two days later, when Marcus had his piano arrive, it had been moved into his room, and placed next to his desk. Upon seeing the note, Marc chewed on his lip, debating if to just throw it away, however, he couldn't bare the suspense that led to what was written. So he unfolded it and read. In neat handwriting this was written:

Dear Marcus~

i know we haven't known each other long, but i have already made a mistake, i left you all by yourself in that hospital room, and it has been eating me up for days, i can't get the image of you on the floor, covered in blood, out of my head, i just want you to know that i don't want you to feel like i have something against you, i don't, i just... haven't experienced something that has made me this worried.

apologies- Billy~

A tear rolled down Marcus' cheek as he read, it was short, but meaningful, perhaps billy wrote this, because he was unable to say it, also, at the bottom was a number, presumably Billy's. There was only one way to check, Marc waled over to the telephone that hung on his wall, and carefully dialed the number. The line rung for a while, the extended time killing Marc as he tapped his foot, waiting for something, a response, even a hang up. Soon enough a voice rang through, a husky, deep voice, the one of Billy Hargrove.

"~Took you long enough to call me new kid~"

Billy spoke, his words intoxicating...
