Several months had passed and with each day, Alexandria was becoming more and more powerful. By age 7 months, Alex could teleport her bottle and toys to herself.
By age 8 months, she was teleporting people.
One night, while Fiona and Joe were in bed, their dreams were disrupted by the baby's earth-shattering cries.
"Ugh", complained Joe while getting up, "I'll get her."
"No", Fiona stopped him, "Just let her cry it out, baby. She has to learn that everyone can't come running to her every beck and call."
No sooner had the words escaped Fiona's lips, she found herself in the middle of Alex's nursery.
"You little shit", she responded sleepily, while picking the angry baby up and gently rocking her back to sleep.
The next morning Joe woke up early and fixed everyone breakfast. While doing so, he tried to figure out a way to suggest binding Alex's powers to Fiona. He knew she loved her own powers and probably couldn't imagine a life without them. But Alex was just too strong to be a tiny baby. Joe was afraid she'd hurt them, or even worse, herself..
"Well aren't you sweet.", stated Fiona while placing Alex in her high chair.
God, that woman made him fall in love with her again all over everyday..
She kissed him passionately and before he could lose his train of thought in her sweetness, he started.
"Baby.. I've been thinking.. Maybe we should bind Alex's powers, just until she's old enough to control them."
Fiona put down the spoon she was using to feed Alex and faced him.
"I was thinking the same thing", she sounded a little guilty.
Truth was, Fiona had been thinking of binding the baby's powers but couldn't bring herself to do it. She wanted to be a good mom, but she felt as if she'd be putting Alex at a disadvantage if she took away her powers. But hearing the same concern that had been plaguing her mind plague Joe's was all the encouragement she needed.
"I can't bind them myself", she said, playing with one of Alex's loose curls.
"But I know a witch in New Orleans who can.."
