Chapter 5 - feel like drowning

Kia's POV

Finally ! Jaipur , I'm back . I'm on my way to the exit gate of the airport and guess what ? Nats is coming to receive me . i missed my bestie so much for all these days i was away . when i went out i started searching for her but she was nowhere . I felt someone tapping lightly on my shoulder and as soon as i turned around to see who is it , i was eloped into a tight bear hug in no time .

" babeeee , you're back ! you know how much i missed you ? "

" nats , you're ch-choking me " i said in a muffled voice barely over a whisper .

" oh I'm so sorry , i just got quite excited seeing you after 10 freaking days " she left me after saying this .

" we better get going home now , or dad will send a search party for us " i said

" yeah , bitches watch out " she yelled while fist pumping in the air and i just laughed silently at her antiques .

we both got into her car and she started driving . on the left side of the road my gaze fell on the deep blue water of the beautiful man sagar lake surrounding the jal mahal . while i was watching the crystal blue water of the lake my mind drifted to a certain pair of mesmerizing blue orbs . those eyes which can make anyone feel like drowning in them . those eyes - wait , kia what the hell are you doing ? why the hell am i thinking of that obnoxious , self centered jerk . ugh i am definitely getting mad now .

" KIA " nats suddenly shouted in my ear making me almost deaf .

" what the heck ! why the hell are you yelling in my ear stupid ? " i asked giving her a sharp glare .

" i tried to call you 4 times already but you were in your dreamland , so i had to shout " . she answered with narrow eyes .

" anyways why were you calling me ? " i asked her again with a monotonous voice .

" god this girl , madam we already reached at your place , now will you get your lazy ass out of my precious baby ? " she said or more like mocked me

" meanie " i pouted and got out of the car .

I stood in front of my lovely home admiring it which resulted in many happy memories to resurface my mind . Our home , the place where not just mine but my dad's childhood was also spent . all those sweet memories

yeah all sweet memories except one .

huh , what are you talking about ?

Well the day you idiot was born .

ugh !! I hate you .

Aww , love you too princess . , came a mocking voice in my head

Why the hell are you so irritating ?

Maybe because Im you .

Just shut up

" now now , are we gonna just stand here and admire your house from outside or we're going in ? " asked Natasha .

" no lets go inside " . I said and both of us started moving

As we entered the hall , i noticed that the whole house had an unusual silence , not a single soul was present . where is everyone ? suddenly i heard a boom noise followed by confetti falling all over me , which resulted in me letting out a loud shriek .

" welcome home princess " i heard my parents and a few family friends yelling .

" OH MY GOD ! DAAAAAAAD I'M BACK " I shouted and hugged him tightly

" yes princess , and i really missed you . "

" oh dad , i did too "

my mom came into the view and said " you both father-daughter are behaving as if she was away for years . Om she just went for a couple of weeks and you're reacting like this . god knows what will you do when she will get married and leave this house " face palming herself .

" I am not getting married anytime soon "

" she is not getting married anytime soon " Me and my dad said at the same time , and we bursted out laughing .

all of us had our dinner and descended to our respective rooms .

Sun rays hit my face through the translucent curtains of my bedroom windows making me blink my eyes and get up . i sat up on my bed stretching my arms and neck a little and took in the surroundings of my room . my room isnt exactly what you can call very bright or the one to give dark vibes either . it rather has a very soft pastel and white minimal interior which gives a very calm and composed aura .

I took a relaxing hot shower and got dressed . taking one look into the mirror i went downstairs for breakfast . voices of chattering were getting louder and louder as i neared the dining table. reaching there i saw my dad sitting on the head chair with my mum on his left and Natasha - wait what is she doing here early in the morning ? well I'll ask her later . so yeah nats sitting beside mom .

I went towards them and kissed my fathers cheek saying " good morning , dad " to which he replied " morning princess . slept well ? " . i gave him a nod and went to my mum giving her a kiss on cheek too and waving a hii to nats . I sat on the right of my dad and served myself .

" nats , what are you doing here at this time ? " i asked her

" well you my friend are coming with me for shopping , so yeah i'm here to pick you up " she said and gave me a cunning smile . that witch , ugh !

" nats you know i don't - " my mum cut me in the middle oh so graciously and said " you should go out more often kia . dont be so anti-social . you need to live a little my child " .

" mom , I'm not antisocial , i go out with my friends , its just that i don't like crowd " i said defensively and tilted my head towards dad giving him my puppy dog eyes pouting a little .

" stop looking at your dad kia , even he cant take your side for this matter . you should be more outgoing at this age . girls of your age are living their life the fullest and you on the other hand , tsk don't even get me started on that . " said my mom glaring at my dad as if daring him to say anything . dad just mock surrendered in front of her and went back to his eating . i just huffed like a child and looked away .

" now enough of this drama kia , let's goo " said nats looking at me with stern eyes .

" yeah sure , let's just get this over with " i rolled my eyes and went to take my bag .

As soon as we reached the mall , Natasha started dragging me from one shop to another in search of the perfect clothes for us . it's almost been an hour now and this girl hasn't even completed 10 percent of her shopping .

" ugh , why can't just aha design all the clothes for us ? " i cried

" well honey , that's because she isn't a casual or formal wear designer , she's a freaking queen of evening wear outfits " she replied with annoyance while trying to figure out one best dress to buy out of 2 peach ones in her hand . I started strolling here and there in the racks when my eyes fell on a beautiful burgundy color dress in the corner of the showroom .

I quickly went towards the dress and put my hand forward to held its hanger but as soon as i took the dress out i noticed one more hand holding it from the other side . i looked up to see whom this hand belonged and got the shock of my life

" YOU " " YOU " we both said at the same time .
