Chapter 1 - what are friends for ?

"Wake up , sleepyhead " I heard someone say when i was having my beauty sleep . Ignoring the sound i again went back to my deep slumber .

"kia just wake up already" someone let out a frustrated sigh . why the hell does these people want to ruin my precious sleep always , ugh !

go away " thats all i murmured before snuggling myself more into the pillow . there was an unusual silence after that .

just when i thought that now there is one to disturb my precious sleep the very same voice shouted loudly making my earbuds go numb " KIARA MAHESHWARI , GET YOUR LAZY ASS OUT OF THAT BED THIS INSTANT IF YOU DONT WANNA MISS YOUR FLIGHT WHICH YOU SURELY WILL BECAUSE ITS 8AM ALREADY "

8 am .. my flight , shit.shit..shit , this outburst of my friend was enough for me to shot my head up from the pillow and make a run into the bathroom , and completing my morning business with the speed of a bullet train .

As soon as i came out of my closet wearing a simple white tee with blue jeans and a pair of sneakers , my eyes went to the entrance of the room where someone was standing with folded hands , well not just someone but someone who is the reason why my precious sleep got ruined early in the morning .

I was about to say something but she beat me to it and said " You need to reach the airport as soon as possible , you're already very late so stfu and get your luggage out and come down at the dining area for the breakfast " with this she went out without letting me say anything .

well this great person is none other than one of my besties , Ahana Sharma , a very well known Fashion designer by profession and my best friend since childhood.ahana is the most calm and sensible one among us . she can handle situations very easily when me and nats are freaked out .. hehe

On the other hand Natasha is the one with no filter on her mouth or you can say the most badass one among us . she loves to compete with guys and beat them in games and stuff . but then again i love her a lot . even in college she was like our knight in shining Armour , always used to beat the hell out of those creeps who would try to hit on us . she handles her fathers business in India so that he can take care of the rest .

oh wait , I am blabbering so much but i forgot to introduce myself . So , hello ! I am kiara maheshwari , a 23 year old beautiful and amazing interior designer . Daughter of Mr Omprakash maheshwari and Mrs anjali maheshwari . i live in Jaipur , India . I have a loving family and great friends . I own a decor firm named icrave , which is one of the most growing and popular firm in the country because of the amazing skillful and hardworking designers it has.

currently I am in NYC , and have my flight back to India in 2 hours . I came here last weak to finalise the designs of a new Museum opening here , which really went pretty well . Ahana also had some important work to take care of here so we both came together but now Im going back and she'll come in 3 days .

after having our breakfast with aha ( short for ahana ) we both departed for airport and the ride wasnt too long it took as nearly an hour to reach from hotel to airport .

"see i told you well make it on time " i told aha with a sly smile as we got out of the car .

" yeah sure if it wasnt for me who woke you up with so much efforts on time you would have missed your flight for sure " she said and rolled her eyes .

" what are friends for ? " i gave her a wink .

" now come on go or you wont be able to board the plane " she said giving me a tight hug .

" yeah bye , and don't miss me too much aha " i said in a teasing tone.

" god this girl , I'll be there in no time kia , stop with this drama . "

" hmm so now i became a drama queen . no one loves me in this cruel world , oh god youre the only one with me now " is said dramatically wiping my fake tears .

" byee , see you soon . she said ignoring me and shaking her head , after turning back in the direction of her car .

Phew 😅 finally I wrote and uploaded my 1st chapter of this book !! yayy !! *Dramatic claps for me * ...... So this was it please lemme know your views on it in the comments .
